@John Mclane looks great! What is your view of paint correction and cutting the clear coat? Newbie here and interested to try this if it doesn't alter the factory paint. Not exactly sure what a "correction" does.

Check nyc ammo YouTube channel, great content there.
The idea is to bring the paint as close to perfection before "sealing" with ceramic. In this car I didn't need to come hard on it as the clear coat was quite good. My Spyder in the other hand, was a PITA. Other difficult portion is the ceramic on top of PPF, lots of elbow grease to wipe it off.
In one form or another, polish the clear coat with a fine cutting compound and pad, take the oils out with a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water, apply ceramic and buff according to instructions. You can do a second layer a few hours later. Also spray the more diluted silica solution for an extra shy. I'm simplifying a lot here, the channel above was my guideline. I just don't see accept how expensive this is if done by a shop, but their work is likely to be better after all it's their craft.
Oil change yesterday. 34,455 miles, 6,000 miles since the last change. Sample will be sent to Blackstone.
Found some glitter in the bottom of the filter housing and in the filter pleats. I have never checked for this before, so no conclusion drawn. Others on this site have reported glitter. My last Blackstone analysis flagged iron and silicon, so we will see what the next report says.
8 quarts fill volume, brings the MFD oil level to near max, to the "10" mark (normal range) on the VW dipstick tool. Seems like the engine burned 0.5 - 1.0 qt in 6,000 miles.
No concerns flagged in the Blackstone report. Glitter in the filter pleats and filter housing must be “normal”.
It wasn't MY Cayenne, but I got to drive a Cayenne S around Road America as part of the traveling Porsche Driving Experience. It was a fun afternoon for sure! Drove the Cayenne S, Macan T, 911 S and 911 4S around the track, then drove a base Taycan through a mini autocross course. I'm in the Chalk one...
Gosh! Insanely stunning! Makes me regret choosing Chromite Black a bit even.
We ordered a Montego initially but looking at this color shifting in the proper light changed our minds. The hints of green depending on the angle are underappreciated on computer screens
