Bath day after a week at the dealership where she got her dash replaced (leather was delaminating/ungluing from the base dash, near the windshield above the chrono clock)

PHX, do you have pictures of the condition before it was replaced? I'm surprised the dealer fixed this.

Yes I do. My dealer didn't even bat an eye and took care of it.

After the repair is done, you will be on the fourth water pump? What are you doing to your water pumps?

Im confident the plastic pumps can’t handle the amount of miles I do a week. I called PNA executive customer relations women I was dealing with for the 5th battery replacement. She’s escalated to Germany supposedly, told her better add 10 years of CPO to my vehicle or I’m done with Porsche as a daily driver. I’ve never had water pump or battery issues with any of my 6 rover sports or 3 full size rovers.

90% of my driving is highway 75-XXX. Usually hold it around 82-94 most of the time. The pump is made out of plastic & composite plastic …. The last one there was 4 teeth missing from the gears .

Gear-driven (not belt-driven) water pump?

Hi,

so yesterday per PCNA , ordered a t-stat housing that includes a new t-stat and sensor. Was told hour ago that job is 2.5 hrs, and the tech already had my car apart waiting for the new t-stat housing. Right rear tire had a slow leak... turns out there was 4 screws in the tire, 1 on the edge of the sidewall.. UGH.. thankfully I have a tire and wheel protection w/road hazard to cover that

Damn complete garbage PSCB brakes are squealing…. AGAIN ………, not only from any speed when applying the brake peddle gently... but now om idle crawling in traffic 0-9 mph , WITHOUT touching the brake peddle they are swealing . Video is too large to upload here, So here is the video of me leaving NYC this past Tuesday... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yY8J0zxpP2Y

Now keep in mind it's been April 2023/ 12K miles since all the rotors, pads, caliper springs, sensors have been replaced.

Oil change yesterday. 34,455 miles, 6,000 miles since the last change. Sample will be sent to Blackstone.

Found some glitter in the bottom of the filter housing and in the filter pleats. I have never checked for this before, so no conclusion drawn. Others on this site have reported glitter. My last Blackstone analysis flagged iron and silicon, so we will see what the next report says.

8 quarts fill volume, brings the MFD oil level to near max, to the "10" mark (normal range) on the VW dipstick tool. Seems like the engine burned 0.5 - 1.0 qt in 6,000 miles.

Big thanks to Anthony of 9XX. Last night he hooked up the full functionality of my Matrix headlights.
