Sold my Cayenne today. Buyer wired $$ and funds are in the bank in anticipation of receiving my x5 M60i which is entering the assembly line 08/10. Private party sale. He got a good deal and I got several thousand over trade value. Win win.

Thanks. I had it listed on this site for about 1 month. Had a few interested parties....only one serious party but he bailed at the last minute. I listed it on AutoTrader last Friday and after weeding out the low ballers and wannabes, a serious buyer appeared Sunday. He lives near Spartanburg and interestingly he works for BMW. He drives an X5 and his wife bought the Cayenne. He has a friend who happened to be vacationing in Hilton Head and he came over to inspect the car. Confirmed $$ wired to my bank yesterday and they are picking up the Cayenne Wednesday or Thursday.

Yup I’ve sold a couple of cars on Autotrader. It can be a bit of a pain with lowball offers and wannabes but I’m pretty good at sorting them out. The key is to insist that funds be wire transferred to your bank. Only after my banker confirms receipt will I sign over the title to the buyer.
