What did you do with your cayenne today?

I dial the water pressure to 980-1200 psi at the gun by switching nozzle sizes. The water is not harsh with 40 degree nozzle, you can put your hand into the water spray without feeling hurt/harsh. I assembled the "kit" myself overtime but referencing from Esoteric Detail and Obsessed Garage.

Drove it! Great evening for a drive. Played with a CTS-V, AMG GLE63 and Viper. Too much traffic to have much fun. Pulled up next to an R8 (not sure if V10 or not) but he wasn't interested.
Great night, great exhaust system, great car.

Wash day! And some underhood detailing.
Played around with a new Tidal music subscription and got familiar with CarPlay, which I have not used until now. The Bose system is good if it is fed good sound files. Basic non-HiFi audio like Sirius XM is a low quality audio experience.

Spent a good part of yesterday cleaning and prepping my newly purchased 2022 Cayenne GTS for ceramic coating. Lots of work, but worth it to protect the paint IMO. Also hard wired my radar detector and set up my phone holder/charger.

Drove it!
Ran with a Stelvio Quadrifoglio from 30mph until it seemed like I was pulling away from him. He was 2-up, I was 1-up with 3/4 tank of gas. Maybe he had luggage and a full tank, and maybe he let off the pedal. Stelvio makes 10% more torque, uses the same 8HP/ratios as the S and has lower axle ratios, so he should have been walking away from me. Vehicle loading or driver skill/interest might have been the difference.
Pulled alongside an old Cayman who wasn't interested. Followed an AMG S55 and Macan but we never had enough open space to engage.

Thanks. I actually have purchased two - I mounted a Pro Clip that attaches to either side of the center console grab rails and have a Renntech magnetic mount coming. I will use both so my wife too, has the option to charge/hold her phone when we travel. The Pro Clip with iphone mag charger is pretty secure with bottom phone support. I usually mod the Renntech to hold a iphone mag charger.

Full front end ppf, partial roof, a&b-pillar, door caps, and partial rear bumper on my S. Ceramic tint all around including pano and windshield. Spent most of saturday washing and detailing it. The color pops under sunlight and this is without any paint correction. Im contemplating a ceramic coat, but I dont think I need it yet as I do regular washes. Im considering painting some of the trim a gloss black like the window trim, just for cosmetic reasons, however the running boards are textured so im better off keeping it, as thats better for any gravel and other debris.

I asked around about that, but any type of film requires a very smooth surface, which this is not. I’ve heard that ceramic coating can also be used on trim pieces, which can deepen the color, while enhancing the gloss. There are some options out there, but I’m learning now that if you want a car done right, order it from the factory that way or find a car that had been specd right.
