I've just been setting the date back to late December, 2020. But I'd love to be able to move the date forward. Thanks for the suggestion.

Edit: Just wanted to confirm that, after sitting overnight, Auto Start/Stop is still completely disabled.

Ok - so far after a quick test tonight, using the Additional Data route that @John Mclane described, with version 39.7, I appear to have disabled Auto Start/Stop completely. We'll see what tomorrow holds.
  • Gone from my home screen
  • Gone from the Steering Wheel custom button menu
  • Gone from the Normal Mode settings menu
  • Driving around, the engine stays running when I come to a stop

When you order the "2021 Edition" of the Launch x431 PROS Mini, and the box clearly sets expectations of what you actually received. Then the firmware update just reinforces the fact that Launch (via Amazon) product naming is dodgy at best (buy a PROS Mini, but the firmware says it's for a PRO Mini?). It's a nice kit, though, if you're going to be working on a bunch of different cars/brands.

On the x431, go to the Instrument Cluster, search on "belt" (without the quotes), and find the entry shown in the screen below. Configured this to "Not Active", and then performed a "write code" to disable the seat belt chimes, but leave the visual seatbelt warnings active. I then locked the car for about 20 minutes. Started her up with no seatbelt on and took a quick trip around the neighborhood. Not a peep. Dash still shows the seatbelt warning. More testing to do (like what happens when you unbuckle in the drivethru line).

Got tired of waiting for PIWIS info, and could not find it myself, so I started spelunking with my x431.

Got rid of the airbag disclaimers, activated performance screen (torque/power). Those on the 992, separate thread ( https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1206...-992-a-11.html )

Browsing the modules, ZFAS has a lot of setting for headlights, even for regular LEDs like my 992. I'll try that module on the Cayenne, but I think the settings to properly activate the matrix may be there.

Regarding performance gauge, does the travel up and down as well as left and right? I have this coded but the ball only goes left and right and never up and down like it should. Maybe you could share all the options/settings for performance gauge so I can compare. No doubt I just have an option wrong somewhere.

Also have you tried coding innodrive yet?

Same thing. The red dot stays on the bottom but there's a vertical bar that follows the rpm. I don't find the whole thing particularly useful in lieu of the tachometer

I coded some options within the modules rather than the F7 root coding. I don't know if the random tidbits I managed to code will go away or not. I'll get there.

Okay, yep this is not the proper behaviour. That ball and line should also go up and down. Check out videos with it factory installed.

Must be something coded wrong or not coded all. Just need to find someone with it factory installed to compare.

It you have ACC and the camera. You should go to manual coding, and change the option code to the one with innodrive. That way it will automatically code everything for you (assuming it's piwis you have).

I'm interested to know if there's no hw differences but only coding.

Under ZFAS, see picture

I tried some minimal matrix settings, as per picture.

Also deactivated the airbag message.

For test purposes only, I think I managed to lift the limitations on fiddling with the nav/pcm in movement. Test only. Could not drive to try anything due to the soupness outside after a heap of snow.

Tried to activate the performance screen like I managed in the 992, but it didn't work. I now have more options saying the traffic sign recognition is there, also needs test.

Activated traffic light recognition. If it's like some audis, it gives you a countdown for the light in front of you ("intelligent" lights available in some cities- that's going to be difficult to test).

Boost gauge activated.
Edit-> Now one can change settings in the PCM and use the native navigation in motion. The front passenger of course as it would be inadvisable for the driver to do that.

You are making some great progress and I'd also like to activate the boost gauge and turn off the PCM nannies some day on my GTS. Keep it up!

In the video post just above, it looks like the author raised the boost pressure on a Macan in Normal mode from 1.2 to 1.6 bar, same as the sport mode. But in the video, he showed the before value at 17 psi and the after at 19, a small increase. The before is consistent with 1.2 x 14.7 = 17.6 but the after should have been 1.6 x 14.7 = 23.5 psi. Could it be this easy to tune a Cayenne? There must be a lot more to it. What's your take?

I think he only changed the scale, not the pressure itself. As far as I know, you cannot tune using PIWIS
