Discount on 2019 Cayenne
#286
I’ve been talking to a couple of dealers, and I’ve been trying to get a quote for a week, as well as a build date. I’ve given the build code from the website. One dealer says build dates aren’t possible yet. Another says November. Still no quote from either, but they both want a deposit. I don’t have a problem putting down a 5K deposit but surely it’s possible to give me a quote by now, or do they not have their dealer pricing yet?

They told you bunch of BS. Allocations are out there for 2022 models Sep/Oct/Nov builds with delivery dates about two months after. You only give them deposit when they have allocation. Also, negotiate a % discount not a specific number because you may and will change options on your build. I just ordered mine last weei and put $2k deposit when they locked down an allocation under my name for my build

what are the current discounts you guys are seeing?
The last cayenne build I got for 6% off in March 2020...same dealer says no discounts now. Another says no discounts either.

I ordered one a few weeks ago with 5% discount. I heard no discount from many dealers but 3% was standard answer from most. Ended up pushing my local dealer a bit and they agreed to 5% and I don't have purchase history with them

We received a high single digit % off MSRP, although there was another car in the deal. Prior to that I had 6.5% off with another dealer on a high-spec EH.
For Ehybrids, CA dealers are a waste of time, best to call Chicago-area or East Coast dealers who were willing to deal at least prior to the 21 build year effectively being cut very short (they were already late due to certification of the new more powerful 21 hybrid motor)
Hope that helps. We are v200 awaiting further build date info.

My experience on a 2021 Cayenne Ehybrid was Porsche experienced significant part supply issues and as a result pushed a lot of build slots - including my July build - to Aug/September making it a 2022 and incurring a price increase, which the dealer partially offset. We were OK with that as we likely didn’t an SUV without a tow hitch and air suspension.

For any Canadians here (I'm in AB)- looking at an order for a Cayenne S. Can anyone shed light on the discounts they received from dealers and/or for cars on the lot? First time Porsche customer here.

Ordered a e-Hybrid yesterday and finally got 2% off MSRP which took a bit of an effort.
Just waiting on the delivery which is set for end of Dec and hoping no delays. Extremely tough to get any discount in Texas right as far I can tell.
