Transfer case

My 2017 GTS has had something 'odd' going on at low speeds turning, and it's not the same as the transfer case issues I'd had before. I do have the PTV diff. I brought this to their attention and had a check done while still in warranty, so I'm prepared to make it an issue if/when it rises to a greater level of problem.
The symptom is odd, it's almost like tire scrub, but not quite. It's not the tires doing the scrubbing, it's "something" in the drivetrain.

So I am on my original TC at 92,000 miles in a 2016 GTS. My 7 years runs up around the end of this year. Would you guys consider going to a dealer and trying to get a new one before the warranty expires?

Try a different dealer? Would they not have diagnosed it though and told you exactly the problem if they went through the hassle of racking the car and disconnecting the control module to test?
Binding in low speed turns can't be a transmission issue. Trans doesn't care if you're going straight or turning.
Here's the procedure: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...25212-9999.pdf

Hoping for the best when I pick it up.

Worth a shot. They do have a certain amount of incentive to find an issue if you know what I mean.

So I've read most of this thread and cannot see anyone alluding to the need to software reset after changing the TC oil. My BMW cars always needed to reset so the clutch packs calibrate pressure based on oil viscosity.
Question: Can anyone confirm there's no need to reset values via software? Just change oil and off I go? Please excuse my lack of confidence; I've owned German cars for almost two decades and find hard to believe there's no need to play with difficult software.
Another question: I've read about the V40 value to not exceed to be 145 KW. Is that the safe limit or too high limit? I'm currently sitting at 7 KW and 5800 miles since fresh TC (part number last digits LX) so I have time before next oil change.

What did they say it might be?

Got the CS home a few minutes ago, with a new TC. Having only driven it from the dealer to home, all seems to be much better with my world.
The surging, harsh up and down shifts, etc. seem to be gone. Of course, the dealer will always find something else to gig me for. They say I need to spend $3200 with them, to replace the motor and transmission mounts. Obviously, I’m looking at alternatives to the dealer.
It's so clean.

Adding to the Transfer Case list
Just got my 2016 Cayenne S back from the dealer, and was covered under warranty. Attached is the snapshot of the work order, a two-day job.
