OK I must admit I like my 17 better than the 19 s loaner , however having it back was short lived. After having a day off today I made the mistake of going to the store, a big 2 miles from the house. Car had full tank and full battery (14miles)
Went to store, but after leaving store, car had everything except ...... motion. A bit of a drawback , contacted dealer via text and they told me to exit car for 15 mins locked up, a trifle warm out, like 95. After 15 It actually started but what use is this car ? 2 miles and stranded.
Back to dealer in the am, if it starts. Either way what would you do ?

Well, first of all, sorry for all of this. Sounds like a real mess. You are talking me out of buying a hybrid, which had been on my list as something to consider. I think I would talk to the manager for the dealership first, explain that his is unacceptable, and see how he responds. I doubt that Porsche wants it getting out that it makes a lemon and leaves the customer stuck with it. The next step would be seeing if your state has a lemon law, though you car may be too old for that. Which performed better (0-60, etc), the 17 or the 19?

Looks like PA has only a 12 month from new lemon law, so doubtful he can do much other than complain to the SA or Porsche. Eventually probably can go after breach of warranty. Either way, it's unacceptable and I wouldn't trust the car until they can 100% guarantee they found the issue.
diver110, check the posts all over the 2019's and the issues they've had with not starting / leaving people stranded. Wouldn't just rule out a hybrid around this one off (hopefully it's just a one off). So far my 2016 SEH has been awesome.

Thanks Guys this is not my first rodeo. SA is good and they have regional PCNA tech involved, just got off the phone with service manager, they found no fault this am when they took it in, it drove there ok which is what it does lol
Yes its unacceptable , I am very frustrated obviously but its early days, the betas taught me some patience, can't wait for my Tesla.
In terms of 0-60 on the Gas S vs the Hybrid, the turbo 6 in the 19 S was faster I think unless I went ***** out in Sport Plus. Having said that I dont do that much, my 6 is supercharged the 19 TT hybrid it will be faster Im sure.
My diesel always felt stronger tho
I will report what goes on. If anyone else has had this experience please share, including the porcheguy if your still around

OK heard back from SA late yesterday, PCNA have determined that another associated control module could be the cause. Its basically a large Capacitor located behind the main battery, big job to replace Involved draining and moving the main battery. About a day and a half. I am getting frustrated to say the least, hoping for a resolution soon since I like my car over the loaners.
Will let you know
odd bit of info picked up, the main battery is about $28K

mudman2, so not that you've lived with both, do you have a preference of the Diesel vs SEH?
I am looking to downsize a daily EV and a tow vehicle into one vehicle and the Diesel torque has me intrigued but the Hybrid seems like a compromise with some pure EV fun could be had too (I have a short commute).

Hi all,
I am still driving the 2016 SE Hybrid with 44k miles.
It is starting to feel a little dated, but I plan to stick with it another year or so.
Time to replace the OEM All Season Good Year Eagles.
I did not like these in wet conditions.
I live in Ohio so snow and ice are an issue but I don't really want dedicated winter tires.
Does anyone have recommendations?
I am thinking about switching to Continental Crosscontacts.

Low Coolant Warning - Unsure where to top up
Folks
This is my first post on the site. I apologize in advance if I have inadvertently posted my question to the wrong forum but I need an SOS help. I drive a 2015 Cayenne e-Hybrid. A couple of days back, I received a red "Top Up Coolant Immediately; do not drive" warning. I am not sure if there's been a coolant leak, but I have an appointment set up on Friday with a Porsche dealership. The dealership is 30 miles away and I don't want to risk driving the car with the warning sign. I called the dealer and they recommended topping up with some distilled water before driving in on Friday.
Here's what I am struggling with. I opened the hood and see two potential entry points for coolant (see pic 1). Both have the same symbol and hence my confusion. There's one at the top left of engine closer to windshield (see pic 2 with cap open, has a narrow cylindrical opening and i can see some fluid in there). The other one at the bottom left of the engine isn't (this is connected to a small circular jar with Min, Max labels and pinkish liquid, see pic 3). This one seems to be the right one to me, but it's not accessible i.e. there is a plastic cover on topic which I cannot seem to remove.
Can you guys help me with the right entry point to insert distilled water in? As its very easy for you to surmise, I am a complete novice when it comes to fixing car issues. Hope this is an easy one for you experts out there!
