I don't think those versions translate exactly between Launch and actual/clone PIWIS, and as far as I know the PIWIS II had an 18.x something as the last available update... The highest I can find mentioned online in a quick search is v18.15

Could this be used to code in surround view assuming all hardware (cameras, mounts, harnesses) have been purchased?

You'd need the proper control module(s) as well, but if you have all the parts, you should be able to code it with a tool like this.

Either bring your own laptop with PIWIS software installed or you can use my full set up.

Default auto hold

has anyone been able to code auto hold on level surface? in the psm ecu there are options for auto hold and they are active yet it only works up hill or down hill. 2015+ models come this way automatically. i assume this is just a coding change.

Sadly it seems you can't enable it like a Benz where you pump the brakes a little extra and it holds on a flat surface. I really miss that from my previous Mercedes. I don't understand why they would overlook this feature.

it's not really over looked.. it's semi active. The abs module will hold pressure on incline or decline

I have this feature on my 2016 GTS. Honestly, I'd prefer to turn it off. I can't put my finger on why . . . It just feels like an unnecessary thing to me.

On Mercedes you have to come to a stop then give the brakes an extra pump and it holds till you hit the gas again. I miss it.

Anyone know of a way to disable Auto Start/Stop on a 2019 Cayenne (Base 3.0T) without the Chrono package? The list on the first page states that disabling this feature is not working... Thanks in advance.

Don't have a 2019 here to test, but try the following:

1. Select all ECUs in Piwis, use "V" Mode (Aftersales) before attempting anything in "E" mode
2. Select Manual Coding - for earlier models at least it shows the option for Start/Stop to set to "Last Mode".
3. Select "coding" - Piwis codes the correct ECUs automatically
4. Get into VO, look for S/S and select the same. Update VO and store that value

If S/S is not shown under step 2 for any ECU, try step 4 first and then select "Automatic Coding" for all ECUs.

BTW - we're in the 958 (= Gen 2) section here, and Start/Stop not possible statement on the first page here is wrong. Thus, most stuff discussed here is not relevant for you as you should likely have a Gen 3 Cayenne?!

I retrofitted a heated wheel into a 2016 base cayenne, which is working (got the code from code-porsche). However, for whatever reason, start/stop has been deactivated (get a message when starting the car) and unfortunately cruise control has stopped working as well. I wonder if I messed something up while coding in the heated wheel a couple months ago. I did purchase a new (not used) clockspring with the heating element for the heated wheel retrofit. Wondering if anyone has any insight - do I need to get a code for cruise control too? Is there a way to code in the VIN to the clockspring? Thanks!

FWIW I have a C11006 error in the steering wheel electronics module which I take to mean that coding is not correct.

Edit: I have the Launch x431 pro-s for coding.

Wish I could find a way to permanently disable *** on my 992.

As to heated steering wheel issues, I retrofitted mine into my Touareg and indeed in addition to the heated steering wheel (from Poland) one does need not only a new clock spring but ensure that the clock spring actually has the two pin connectors to enable it and then code in VAG-COM. As to cruise control, could it be that you forgot to connect some of the wires in the steering wheel? There are several and it's easy to miss. I don't believe there is a way or need to link the VIN to the clockspring.

Here are some possible hints:

Yup, you might just need to turn cruise control on. I had to do the same with my paddle shift buttons. I think it's in the steering wheel module.
