I would guess right now that the tool could code out that sunshade option, then dig in and disconnect the shade motor possibly. Or just disconnecting it may work. I would have to hook up my car to find the option coding and verify, but from previous experience it can probably do that.

i reverted back to 25.82 and now no more language issues.
it is really disappointing from launch team to be blocked by such basic issue.

I actually saw a replacement sprocket needed to fix the shades for peanuts.

I actually thought on buying the door panels that have the shades and install on my car when I first got it. Still kinda curious on doing that. Don't know if there's wiring in the door. But I suspect there might be.

But to your question....yes, probably possible to disable them. Only issue is that if you buy a new x431 right now, it will have the messed up language issue. No clue if they will ever fix it.

I wish I had this option. They provided me 23.88 and said its fixed there, but its not.

Maybe you can DM me your serial number and I can tell them that you have 23.82 and I want a copy of what yours has?

I think its only if you already have the product installed, then just replace the language definition files.

I still have the English version. But it seems different distributors have different versions out. Some claim their version supports 992s while the one I got it from clearly doesn't. I only have about a month of the free update left so I'm hoping there will be a last update that will include the 992

so i have an old laptop that i could install any operating system on - what exactly would i need to be able to code this car - software and hardware - would that be better and/or cheaper than buying any of these other devices - i would mostly be turning off service codes but if i could get into some of the other coding and diagnosing and it didn't cost too much i might like that better - thanks in advance

I want to upgrade my scanner for my Cayenne. I want to do oil change reset, battery replacement and be prepared for troubleshooting the subsystems.
