Hey y'all, loved this thread and went out and got myself a Launch x431 v+ pro whatever version exactly it is (bigger tablet, like 5000 connectors that are probably useless).

I'm located in Austin TX and happy to help out any other members that want to play with coding, just give me a jingle. Or message, that probably works better than jingling me. I'm on the south side/West Oak hill and also have an automotive lift for any really fun projects that I can at least spectate (that is, if you don't want me wrenching on anything).

For my first fail, I tweaked coding something on my 2016 SEH that caused it to refuse to go into reverse. And switching to the "surround" view just killed off the backup camera entirely (reverting these flags fixed everything). I've also got a german brother in law that I might send some screenshots to for translation help if/when I get stuck trying to figure out what the kuhlerjalousie flag means.

Still trying to figure out the comfort open/close on the pano roof from key fob. Windows work, but now the roof one-touch open/close is no longer working :shrug:

Update on my ordeal with Launch.

After speaking with seller, they had Launch issue Porsche version 23.86 software. I haven't updated yet, but read another person who upgraded and this version is same as 23.82, so the German menu should be fixed now. I'll confirm tomorrow when I'm able to update and connect to the CS.

Any news as to 992 support or is 23.86 only labels add-on (German/English) stuff?

Checked, mine says 2019 and 2020. I still need to test and see if language is fixed, but according to a few, .86 is basically. 82 software. I'll keep an eye on it and update you here when I see 2021 992 on here.

Update: tested for language fix, still a problem.

I hold my phone over the tablet and use google lens to translate ... Works fairly well, though I still haven't figured out why my stupid pano roof no longer has one-touch opening/closing, even after trying to re-train the position sensors several times.

If anyone has a 958.2 with pano roof and an x431, can you check the default settings for the roof (there's an MD1 and MD2 section, it's really confusing to me). I believe under front or rear-end electronics.

I'm sure, but the fact that it CAN be in correct language and that it SHOULD be in correct language because it's a $1000 device, makes me npot want to keep it.

It's like having a Porsche and towing it with an F-150 every time you want you want to use the Porsche. Where's the pleasure in that?

i have updated the latest version on my launch X431 V+, it is the 25.8 version. seems it is showing the instrument cluster modules in German with some Chinese caracters in betrween, did anyone face the same problem ?

Yes, that's the reason I sent mine back to seller until they fix this problem. Apparently a new version was to be released in November. I guess you got the new version.

If you can revert back down to prior version, do it before it's too late. Doesn't seem like they want to fix this issue.

Hmm, I have the V model 8" tablet, not the larger V+, my Porsche software version is 23.82 with update available to 23.85. Should I avoid this update?

Yes, at all cost!!!

23.80 and 23.82 seem to be in English. I had tested the Diagun, ProMini and V+. All same problem and had to return all 3. Provided downgraded software didn't help when Launch added it to my account.

After upgrading to 23.85, and not liking the language changes, I contacted their support (via information from Facebook) and they sent me 23.86, which is really 23.82. Note that my Launch has an active subscription (which gives me access to support, I assume).
