Cable is the same as delivered, the only difference is I have swapped out the aux cables between board and pcm3.1.
I see what you mean now. I checked this on my setup. I unplugged everything from all ports both AUX and USB, selected AUX on PCM and made volume close to 100%. When WiFi is enabled on the module I can hear both white and cracking noise. If I disable WiFi in settings on the module I can hear only white noise. But still those noises are minor in comparison to the volume level. I'm not sure this could be solved but lowering WiFi signal strength, even if this is possible.

I'm happy to share first custom firmware for CX301 CarPlay module (Isudar, Ebilaen, Cartizan, etc).

Changelog:
- New one page Home Screen UI
- New Porsche icon for CarPlay (as on the latest PCM 5.0 and PCM 6.0)
- 60 FPS for Android Auto (beta)
- 60 FPS for CarPlay (beta)

UPDATE: CarPlay users don’t install. There are some weird responsiveness issues.

Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/aj12rf2eot...08-05.zip?dl=0

Use at your own risk. You can always go back to the stock firmware.

Some pictures:

1. New one page Home Screen UI

2. New Porsche icon for CarPlay

Some notes:

- Android Auto 60 FPS works flawlessly.
- CarPlay 60 FPS doesn't look that smooth, but still much better. (Maybe that’s my old iPhone 6s Plus not making it anymore)

Kool this makes me feel a little bit better that it's not something I have done! Maybe someone such as @Santirx can check as I believe his is unmodified?

Do you know the code for factory settings? The 1123 doesn't work. Want to see what option are hidden behind the factory option.

UPDATE: It did work! I just needed to recycle power to it. I'll see how it works with my iPhone XS Max and report back...

This update bricked my board (I think)…. 🙁.

I did it at my own risk, so I knew going in that it could happen.

But any ideas? All I see is a black screen. PCM works well, just the Ebilaen module.

I tried, following a video that I had made before, to press on the options (blindly) to try to go back to the previous firmware, but no luck.

I don't think in my case is related to CarPlay or Android. Maybe something to do with the Ebilaen vs Isudar board... Maybe I have prior board version 1.1 (which I didn't check) vs 1.2.

This is how CarPlay looks after konkab's firmware update with iPhone XS Max…

This is before the update... I’m trying to see any difference, and I can’t. Looks the same to me.

On the factory menu, there is an option for Internal/External DSP. I wonder if one sets it to internal, it bypasses the Isudar board DSP and relies on the PCM? That would be good. Also, there is an option for Steering Wheel Control, but the darn thing doesn't do anything. For a minute I was hopeful that this would allow me to deactivate the back button in the steering wheel... well, one can only hope.

I'm still not sure if I’m reverting to previous firmware... Do you have the ability to set fps for AA and CP, or is it just one setting that affects both? Maybe in your next iteration, you can leave AA at 60fps and change CP back to 30fps?

I love the settings menu in a single screen!

Thanks. It seems more responsive now. You were correct, at 60FPS there was a sluggish behavior when navigating. At 30FPS, response is instant.

This is interesting. I would’ve expected the opposite.

At 60FPS:

At 30FPS (after latest update):

When volume is at 100% and WiFi ON, I can hear a faint white noise when in AUX, no cracking sound though (it was a short test). But that volume would be deafening and destroying speakers... The noise is imperceptible at normal volume levels.

BTW, no white noise when using AUXBT or iPod input.

It's less of a cracking noise and more of an interference, it only occurs when data is transmitting, so having maps loaded on screen for example.

OK… I’ll try that later, but may have the same issue and is probably normal.

Kind of hoping that so I know it's not something I have done. I assume because of your epic sound system you don't have to have volume cranked up! Where as with the bose, I run it fairly loud, sometimes 60-70%+ volume.

It maybe placebo but I am convinced the audio quality has improved since replacing the aux cable with a studio quality cable. Thinking about separating the aux cable from the rest of the cables from the board all the way to quadlock.
