Nope. The best stopping is with a rolling wheel and I don't know of any 4WD or AWD system that is set up to lock any wheels.
I'm not sure why you take it upon yourself to police this website with your grand intellect so you can judge others, but if you read page 187 in the Cayenne owner's manual it states the following, word for word:
In the event of braking on loose ground, the permissible slip values for ABS braking are increased so that off-road braking distance is reduced (wheels dig into the surface).

What do you, with your highly intelligent mind, think of that statement as it relates to what I wrote? We are all just peons, awaiting for your input.

Apparently I touched a nerve.

Marketers write the literature... not enginners.

Default Accepting offers. Probably the only offroad Cayenne in California, perhaps the West??

Everything you see on this CS was built in my garage. Roof rack (shovel, axe, light bar, occasional mountain bike and lumber hauler). Brush guard was an interesting experience designing and bending it on the fly. Rear tire and jerry can mount was another difficult one to build. Everything sits real tight to the tailgate which looks cool. Just added a CB which beats yelling at your trail mates with your head out the window.
Tires are nothing special: 32" Cooper A/Ts on stock 18s. Not much of a selection for 18" 5x130 wheels.

Jeepers hate this rig....and that's what I like the most about it.

She's actually for sale right now if anyone is at all interested, she cleans up real nice. Look out for some better pictures on this website or worst case on Ebay in August/September if she's not already gone.

Who wants to go places in comfort and style?? Thanks for the interest!

I don't take many pics or videos because I'm always about enjoying the moment, here's a short clip enroute to our favorite camping spot. There are probably a lot more pics floating around people's Instagram/Facebook/Tumblr/Pinterest as it gets a lot of pics taken while parked in lots or creeping in traffic. At times it feels not unlike you're driving a big pink *****.

Dang, they're quoting late November/early December to pick up my 958 in Atlanta. Might have to come in my Grand Cherokee instead...

Default Nice Photos where did you get your spare tire rack?

Where did you get your spare tire rack? Also what did you use for a light switch for the roof light?

Thanks,

Default New video; off-road park with Jeeps

Went to hard rock MX off road park in Ocala, FL with the Jeep club. It was a blast and really opened my eyes to what the cayenne (and jeeps) would do.

I aired down to 26-28psi or so and found that gave the tires a good "bulge" without looking like they would de-bead. I removed one of the front swaybar droplinks but left the rear connected. I kept PSM on and the center diff locked the whole time.

Car did well but on the top of the really steep hills, PSM would take away all throttle and the car would just bog. I banged up a rocker panel and broke the exhaust loose of the clamps high-centering on a muddy berm. Nothing bad though.

The car was a boss at the water fording. The engine bay got nasty from the belt and fan slinging mud everywhere, but my doors stayed water-tight while the Jeeps all got filled with water

The car is also *really* good at hill descent. It will go down ridiculously steep inclines with irregular surfaces without any brake or throttle input whatsoever, even while managing wheel slip.
