What Did You Do To (or With) Your Cayenne Today ?

Race Car
Round trip to Philadelphia, about 600 miles in ridiculous heat. These are great cruising cars if you don't mind the gas mileage. Mine gets 18 mpg at 50 mph or 85 mph or anything in between.

Thats summer for us every year, if it isn't hotter. At least Porsche provides tropical spec cars for us and for the Turbo equipped. Wagner and the like offer much more efficient intercoolers.

Burning Brakes
Replaced my left secondary air pump!
All of the little plastic impeller blades were crumbled away as reported by others.
Might as well order my right one right now.
I picked an eBay one up for $70. Aside from the missing Made in the USA sticker, couldn't detect any difference.
Also fixed my sagging left tailpipe with a nice new clamp.
I carefully used a bottle jack for some extra muscle to break it free so I could rotate it back to the right place.
Didn't have to remove the tailpipe and only hit my head on the trailer hitch twice.
The right clamp has a crack beginning also but isn't sagging yet. I'm ready for it though.

For what ever reason I just bought my seventh Cayenne S. I guess the price was right, $500. I plan on repainting and lifting it for primarily off roading.

Finally annoyed with only having 1 touch windows!
Pulled the master window switch and gave it a complete teardown and cleaning. I recommend using a 90° pick between the finger recess and switch to pull the swich vs. Prying from the outer edge. The rest is pretty straight forward. So much better!
(When I have more time, I will refinish all the failing rubberized trim coating.)
Voila, good as new
Best tool to remove, doesn't stress the leather.
All but the cloths.
Simple tools and a little time, used mini microfiber cloths for alcohol on the board and general cleaning wipes with a spudger to get all the nooks and crannies. Put a fresh coat of white lithium on window lock button and on springs in driver/ pass. springs. Remove buttons by releasing center tab 1st.

Three Wheelin'
KGeorge, did you polish the lenses? If so, did you use any type of UV inhibitor? I've heard that if you polish them up and don't use a coating of UV inhibitor that they will yellow/fog much faster.

Putting the window switch in I remembered the dash light adjuster was jumpy, so pulled it out and gave it a good clean as well... This one is tricky, need fine point/ edge tools and patience to get the pot wheel out, cleaned with a Qtip and 90% alcohol.
Time for a drive!
Free the side opposite the wheel 1st, then you can press on the wheel side to work free

Add a clear PPF to them, this protects them 100% It takes years for the PPF to yellow and when they do you just replace the PPF and it'll look good as new. I used this method over and over again.

I used the sylvania kit off Amazon that has the uv coat. My headlights weren’t terrible but they look way better than they did.
