because I live in Brooklyn, and I park in a very small, very congested deck attached to my building, but if it happens again I’ll be sure to reach out so you can provide the push 👌🏾

Gave her a wash:

And unboxed the new (used) summer wheels! Can’t wait:

Also finally got my suspension refresh completed and aligned properly. Took a while, but I love it. Aluminum arms, full poly bushings front and rear (Powerflex & Eurowise), all new rubber, air seals, valves, etc. She’s a real joy to drive now!

Rolled over 230,000 miles and got my first check engine light for catalyst efficiency.

I hear a small vacuum leak under the hood so I’ll focus on that for now

My Cayenne has been giving me a lot of issues lately, first my driverdoor vindow stop working, broken wire, then passengerdoor found out that it will not open lock with remote, then steeringrack start leaking and needed to be replaced, when the car was up on jackstands I take away a lot of surface rust on the subframe and other places in the front, I also try to fix some corroded aircon pipe with a small leak, then I move to the back of the car and tok away rust there and now I`m changing out lower control arms both sides because it was to much rust, next thing to do is change valvebody in the gearbox due to harsh gearing but that will be done at a gerabox garage. Hopefully she is back on the road again in a few weeks.

Her I had to weld/glu all faster points that was broken.

Used liquid metal and a splitted pice of pipe to patch it up, hopefully it will not leak for a while so I can get a replasement pipe.

Had a roof rack designed and built by a local company. Went to the mountains for some beauty shots.

Came across a guy in the 6 speed GTS Facebook group that got the eBay 996/997 short shifter to work. Wish I would have thought of this before I bought/installed half of the 997 shift right solution. Gonna pull the shift right out and go this route 👌🏾

I'm interested in hearing more about this...I've been wanting to try to tighten up my sloppy shifter and there doesn't seem to be many upgraded options out there. I'm not really on Facebook anymore, and I don't qualify for group membership anyway since I don't have a GTS.

Is this the part? https://www.ebay.com/itm/273904998741
Does everything line up, or are the modifications needed to make it fit?

Are you telling me this is a simply swap and go?

I remember seeing somewhere that some part needs to be trimmed?

Cool, I will probably give it a try. It looks like the same part is available directly from China on AliExpress for about half the price too. For about $30, it seems worth it even if significant modifications end up being needed.

I didn’t do the swap… but looks like with minimal fab skills you can get this workways
