Clay bar and Opti-seal. Ready for the summer travel season.

Waiting on some new, custom forged wheels to arrive. Going with 335/25-22 tires this time and sticking with the Aturro AZ850s. Got a full set of 4 tires with 3 year tire certificates for $600...you can't beat that. The current set has lasted 20k miles - rears are almost done, but fronts still decent.

If anyone is interested in the current Varro VD02 wheels (22x12 et 50) with 315/30-22 AZ850s on them, let me know. I also have another brand new pair of the 315/30 tires I can sell with them. Going to do all 4 wheels with the 2 new tires for $2,500 picked up. Should be available mid-June

Varro also no longer offers this wheel, which is a shame. Only reason I'm changing is to be able to eliminate the spacers I have to run currently and to get a few more mm of outward offset.

Finally got the permanent wheel/rubber combo mounted on my Overland build. Coming soon, custom bumpers, then the lift and spacers.

Default Replaced the shifter grommet again

I replaced the shifter grommet for the second time in about 2-3 years.

Is that the Grommet that was just replaced under the recall?

Yes, it takes about 30 minutes to replace and cost about $30. It takes half day to drive it to the dealership and wait.

Sold it today and watched it drive away. I was definitely attached but on to something else after 6+ years of ownership.

there is a recall to replace the grommet on the pivot ball for the shifter linkage at the transmission. The grommet disintegrates and the linkage disconnects causing the shifter to be non functional. It is possible that the car could be stuck in drive or park. Fairly dangerous and inconvenient. You need to get it done. It is free at the dealer if you don’t mind waiting.

Partial Front suspension refresh on the 235,000 mile Turbo S.

Suffice to say I waited too long on the strut tower bump stop lol. The new part is seen with its totally failed predecessor and **** poor upper control arm and tie rod end.

Clay bar, polish and Ceramic coat.
Still have to do the wheels and clean all the trim.

Impressed with the shine.

Got the xtrons in last night… nice unit, everything works well and the unit moves quickly (unlike the GTA CarPlay kit in my Panamera). Be prepared to figure out the wiring as the instructions are just suggestions . Also finally got my one piece aluminum drive shaft shorted out. It’s more direct (not a night/day difference) and smooth as butter now

I wonder why this doesn't apply to 2008-2010 957 S, GTS, Turbo, or Turbo S but does apply to the base 957 Cayenne.
