Bath Time
Gave the beast a good clean starting with Foam wash an application of Bowdens Own Threeway ( similar to Iron X ) Nano skin auto scrub on a
DA polisher then Meguiar's Ultimate Compound followed by polish and wax.
The baggy test on hand showed the paint was quiet contaminated but now is as smooth as a well you know the rest.
Weather has been terrible so shots outside will have to wait.
I am really loving these cars.

I never realized how good silver can look on these cars, but yours looks fantastic! As for the micro switch keep us updated on what you decide to do. You can open up the actuator and replace the failed microswitch, or buy an entire chinese made acutator for $40 or so. I'm not sure which is the better option.

new switch has a wider switch contact area but was smaller in overall dimensions but with a little MacGyver work with some vhb double sided tape and plastic shims i got it to fit with existing steel clip to hold in place and am pleased to say I now hear the fuel pump kick in when I open the door and have a nice little puddle light to boot.
Switch used as replacement.

Just an update I removed micro switch it had worn away and also chewed up the plastic coating on the latch cam it runs against. I used a dremel to sand away damaged coating and picked up a new micro switch from local electronics store.
