We started with PIWIS and had to change the VIN on the cluster to match the car, then go through all the modules and clear the codes.

Then we actually had to use VAG-COM and get the auto headlamps to work.

Checked front diff oil - all good. Took a bit out and topped it off with Nulon G70. Everything is now super quiet. Went for a drive as the weather here is just gorgeous.

Went all Gymkhana mode.
10cm of fresh snow and PSM off. No end of fun in a decommissioned hospital car park.
Stopped playing when I was down to the tarmac and could smell hot rubber

Not a fan of incriminating evidence of hooliganism with a 5 year old co-driver
But seriously was totally unplanned so did not think about filming. It happened on the drive home from daycare (responsible dad mode off)

More snow is expected in the next few days so let’s see what I can come up with.

Miss Piggy is so far my second favorite winter car after my 4G63T swapped Mitsubishi Outlander. But I have a feeling it will become my favorite if the straight line traction is anything to go by, this thing just digs in and goes......

Sounds fun! I bet your five-year-old kiddo had a blast... As for digging in and going, sure, the AWD helps, but it's really about the tires. And I don't have snow tires. Nor do I live in the snow. Post video next time you're out and have turned off "responsible dad mode."

Yes, in Load Mode. No links or Suspension Module. I would like to lower it, but I don't want to lose the comfort ride.

Others may have differing opinions, but I don't think it's irresponsible to experiment with how the car behaves on slippery surfaces, presuming that yo are doing so in a large, empty and safe area (as you said you were).

Knowing how it feels as it loses traction, knowing how it responds to various control inputs, being able to recover from a slide or skid; those are all good things.
One of the most educational (and enjoyable) things I ever did in a vehicle was skid pad training when I got my CDL.

Wanna know what's a real hoot? Jack-knifing and skids (entry and recovery), along with donuts in a real, full sized semi truck.

This is the place where I did mine, but not me in the video:

Since my 05 CTT got totaled, I am going a different route. Some things are in my garage and will have to go. PM me for details.

Pulled the light out of my clear side markers and hung them down inside the fender liners. I just couldn't take the brownish light they emitted compared to the clear/bluish lights up front. Kind of defeats the point of the clear lens. Also not a fan of the glowing wheel wheel effect.
*Would like to have just pulled the bulbs but then you get an error message....

I did the same, then was worried about water getting into the bulb socket and corroding it and again causing the error, and with it behind the wheelwell liner. I found a small clear cap from a couple bottles of spray chemicals in the detailing cabinet, covered the open bulb, and then electrical taped around the joint to make them water tight. I did a test to make sure the bulb didn't get hot where it would melt the plastic cover, and it doesn't.
