scca stock class becoming street class!

I am in a similar situation, being in Portland; however, there is a two day event in March, being held on an airport tarmac out in the gorge. I'll be there. Might be work the drive.
Cheers,

SCCA still hasn't responded to my letter about 987.2(S) classing, but they did put this in the latest fastrack:

A member of the SEB replied on another forum that they're working on a response. That implies that they're taking your request seriously rather than brushing it off, but feel free to complain anyway...

Factors to consider:
1. The STAC is majority new members for the first time in years.
2. There have been lots of letters over the past year or two for cars that don't seem to fit current structure.
3. Big boats take time to change course, especially given the fact that not many changes in established classes are seen as win-win for all involved.

"It takes time to create a new category" as an excuse/explanation for not answering the 996/ST letter yet certainly sounds promising for SST, especially in light of what yeha posted

The season really needs to start. This winter has had far and away the most off season bitching I've ever seen.
I have a feeling once we all hit our first cone of the year it'll all be ok.

You Northern guys are gonna hate this, but: we had our Test & Tune today. Only about 35 drivers. 30s course, skid pad and practice slalom. 54 degrees & sunny. We got huge numbers of runs. We split into 3 groups, one working and 2 running and rotated every half hour.
Well, everyone but me got lots of runs. Something was wrong with my car. 3 other people drove it and didn't really like it. Said it was hard to drive. I had to agree. Times were so-so. New tires and new shocks, old setup without a new alignment or corner balance. I drove home, found one (newly rebuilt Ohlins) rear shock had leaked it's oil down the shaft. Had over an inch of free motion.
So, I changed out the rears to my old Konis, got back just before they wrapped up and set one of the faster times of the day. So, for Blytheville and Dixie I'll be on Ohlins fronts and Koni rears!
Edit: and the new Star Specs felt very good, even when cold. I was right there with an AS Z06 on 295/305 RS3's, supported by 1" wider wheels, compared to my 265/285 Dunlops.
