The 2011 6MT sale was a huge surprise. I knew it would it would bring solid money but did not think it would sell higher than the lower mile 997.2 GT3 in black that sold last week on PCAR. Is the 2011 MT turbo coupe more rare than a 2009 MT turbo coupe?

997.2 TT Manuals FTW!!!

I knew I should have purchased one back then.. Had a Less than 300 mile example available when I bought my TTS...it sold for only $125+K at the time.

These will sky rocket

Yes, by a fair amount. Another important factor there is that the 09 is mostly the same as the relatively plentiful 07-08, whereas with the 2011 you can't "settle" on a different year .2 because they're all super rare, 2010-2013. I think total 997.2 6mt Turbo coupes over 4 years is slightly less than the amount of 09s in that spec.

Yes. The 997.2 Turbo was in general very low production. Something like 5800 cars worldwide (997.1 was like 19 000 cars).

Out of those, 488 manual coupe for North America. Something like 700 worldwide. 2010-2013.

This is the best data I could find, and it seems to be consistent.

It sold for more ($179K) than the 2011 Green TTS ($1705.K) last week, that's got to be the new record for a 997.2 IMO!

Wow. Good news is...my wife is a little less irritated about my little purchase in November .

I just passed 13k miles. No longer stock, though. Then again, none of it matters, because I wouldn't sell for 200k. I finally got the car I always wanted, and I still want it. Money is only as good as what it gets you, IMO. I'm sure the buyer of the 2011 wanted it more than he or she wanted the 179k, and that was sufficient motivation, regardless of what the car "was worth". I thought I paid more than mine "was worth" in November, but I didn't care because it was the car I wanted (and now of course it looks like I accidentally got a good deal).

Same boat. I thought I overpaid for mine when I bought it in Feb 2020. But now looking back on it, I know I could not find one today for what I paid 18 months ago... not even close.

I sold my 308 on BAT a few months ago.. Went very well. But once the auction is over, it's on you and the high bidder. BAT gets their cut and runs.
Wait, you sold you dream 308 already!?!?!

^^ Wow. I bet it will. I purchased my '09 six years ago with 900 miles. I could have wrapped it up and saved it for the next buyer but whats the fun in that ! Will be a fun one to watch.

When does your auction go live? I'm looking forward to seeing it run. Best of luck!

I'm going to guess $125k -$135k? It's beautiful, but I'm kind of sad that it wasn't driven much at all. I'm curious if there are any long term effects for a car like that which hasn't been driven much?

just glossing over the pictures real quickly I can tell it’ll need rear brakes. The rotors appear to be heavily grooved and have a rusted outer lip. Not a big deal, as those items can be had for fairly cheap from FCP or Pelican... however, it does go to show the effects of having a car just literally sit.

If I say this in the end all be all comment section of BaT **flagged as non-constructive**

so I comment here instead.
