That said, on a relative basis, I think the buyer made a mistake. The car is just worse now than it was when I sold it. Plus, there have been PTS 991 turbo s sales at similar prices in better condition very recently.
I sold it because the green drew far too much attention, and everyone knew it was me. I had no anonymity, so I couldn't drive it much or the way I wanted. When I sold it it was unmolested. I like it a lot less now.
I'll also note that I bought it certified pre owned with 2k miles for 127. That was, of course, a different Era, but it made sense to me. This does not make sense, unless this used car market continues as it has been. Even then, I think there are a lot of other choices that would, while still being expensive, make a lot more sense that this car at this price.
Edit: I'll add that there are tons of stories like this. I bought my 993 tts for 112 and within a year or so was offered 250, now probably 450. I also got obliterated selling a amg gt c which has probably gone up 30 percent in the past year.

The crazy part of this whole discussion is I was just at the bookstore the other day and picked up a copy of Excellence magazine. They had an article on the market report regarding all 911 Turbos. Their thought on the 997 Turbo was that it was DOWN 9-10% year / year.
I put the magazine away and didn't buy it. I mean, if their market reports are that inaccurate, what's the point. DOWN? Really?

Well, the entire luxury market is crazy. I think 997 tt/tts prices are up a good 25-30% at least year over year. Was at a P-car cars/coffee event this event and the first guy I met offered to buy my 997tts right away - lol
I got an email today from another dealer asking $750-850K for 2020 Aventador SVJ, 650k for a Mclaren 765LT and 720K for a Ferrari 812....just to put 911 prices in perspective!!!

Many have probably seen this video. It's from March so maybe just a couple weeks before some of the crazier auction results but his analysis concludes that the 6spd coupes are up but not tremendously so. 997TTs are more of a stable place to not lose money rather than a ticket to early retirement.
He's had other videos where he flashes a chart comparing the relative price increases different cars have seen over the last year and the 997 Turbo is towards the back of the pack.

To publish something that says they are down 10%, however, is just nonsense. NOTHING is down.

I don't follow the 997TT prices too closely, but is this a competitive price? Assuming all things check out....

That car is actually local for me, hah! From experience, when a budget lots has a high end car like this, they want to get rid of it quickly since the foot traffic they get is not the type of buyer who wants / can afford it. They usually let them sit on the lot for ~2wks then send it to auction.

Three Wheelin'
My TTS will soon be for sale on BAT. I'm working with them now to arrange pictures and the write-up. It will be listed at/above $100K with reserve. I'll post a link when it's ready.
