Well, nothing done to the car today today, but I did just order up the Speedtech full 3" system w/cats & 3" Tips for my 11' TTS Cab. John was great on the phone and passed along an "end of year" discount to match the Black Friday deals I missed out on. Looking forward to January and an easy install. Tune comes next!
I'm down the street in Lititz. I would love to hear it after you get it on.
haven't done it yet but will in 10 days i'm replacing the junction cable front he middle of the car to the starter/alternator to cure my hard starting issue
I assume you've isolated the issue to this harness? It seems it's not a common issue with the 997tt?
nah not really right now it's just a best guess. vast majority of 997's with the hard start issue replace the starter cable or the starter + starter cable. i figure for $90 bucks it's likely the issue and if i need to i will replace the starter at the same time for $200 bucks for a new one

I drove it!!! It was about 49 degrees and sunny in Michigan - in December - right before Christmas! I keep my turbo ready to go all winter - any sunny day with clear roads it comes out!
For the starter deal, if it's a TIP, that harness has been known to cause issues, so go for it. If it's a 6MT, then would be less likely, though I am sure possible.
For my recent work on the 911, I had my 20" wheels checked out to see if they were the source of my vibration at 85+, and holy crap, all 4 had issues. I think 20" here in PA just isn't a good match. I could blame the previous owner since it was an issue I have dealt with since I got the car, but I had replaced barrel & lip on one and the that lip was toast after only 9 months. Disappointing. Since I just put new rubber on the rear, I had them straighten the ones they could and have ordered 2 new front lips and 1 rear barrel to rebuild them. Once I kill the tires I will look for a set of 19's that are similar in look to the 20's. I have a set of 19's with Cup 2's on them now, but they were meant for some yet to be done DE & track days.
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, the max rims and dismounted tires an Audi UrS6 can hold is 4 20 inchers. It required some Rubix Cube maneuvers to get everything in, but I managed to get back from Allentown OK.
---> Lowered suspension + thin sidewall + PA roads = bad combination. <---
Funny enough, the spot on 422 where I am sure at least some of my damage was done, has just been patched up. The problem spot extended across the entire road at a bridge interface and I had to go less than 50 to avoid issues. Needless to say I didn't always do that. I think what killed the front I just fixed was pothole that popped up on the same bridge. I think I lost a tooth going over that one.
Replaced the sport chrono gauge with an AEM x series boost gauge (peak/hold/warn functions). Had to lengthen the harness quite a bit to reach the rear of the car
Purchased, picked up and installed something that I have always wanted for my car. To say that I’m excited about them would be a huge understatement.
On top of finding a set that was somewhat local to me, I also had the pleasure of devirginizing them, as they were BNIB never been used.
Lightweight carbon bucket seats.
This is single-handedly my favorite “mod” on this car... if it could even be considered one; as they carry OE PORSCHE part #’s.
They are so light! The interior of the car now feels and smells new. Riding down the road with them puts the driver in an optimal upright position and the seats really hold you in place. I will probably do the mod on the driver seat that angles the front upward to tilt the entire seat in a slightly more reclined position.
In terms of comfort, the factory 18 way adaptive seats take the cake. But these are by no means uncomfortable by any stretch.
Entry is not terrible. Standard palm on rocker panel to support your body as you slide in place makes for a no-bolster contact procedure.
I highly recommend these seats to anyone looking at getting them.
