Pandemic radiator cleanings must be all the rage. Couldn't believe how much crap had built up in all 3 of them!

Installed a set of Ruger Mesh wheels.... BUT decided that they are too safe for me. Wanted something classic.. but it just isn't enough flash.

Returning and have a set of Black HRE FF01s on the way Have to say that getyourwheels.com have been very patient with me and I greatly appreciate their customer service

Lol! This should be a PSA to all 997 owners without mesh. Even with mesh it's still entirely possible for the radiators to accumulate crap. At least it's a simple DIY maintenance item, really.

Installed new heat shields and decided to do the spark plugs and coils at the same time....or could be the other way around - not sure.

Very straight forward job.

Remove rear bumper cover (few steps to do before)
Remove intercoolers
Remove Rear bumper
Remove both sets of heat shields
Remove Turbo Heat shield
Remove Turbo actuator part on passenger side only
andddd....Remove and Replace plugs and coils

I also changed my transaxle fluid. Had to bootleg the good stuff in from the US as it is impossible to find in Canada.

Oh, and it is a 997.2 TT.

Wrapped up the IC install on the 997 last night and began tackling the radiators.

Found this jammed under the head light bucket and into the radiator shroud. Seems to be some tracking device for anti-theft/lease.

Have not found any more but will continue to keep an eye out, wonder if one is in the drivers door due to odd speaker issues....

Radiators thanks to FCP, sort of a PITA to pull everything, the connection to the center radiator was the most PITA to pull.

Drivers side assembled, now just have to finish the passenger side and put the new center in.

Told TT the good news, that it will be joined by a stablemate next March, a Macan Turbo.

The bad news, if the TT doesn't quit shedding delaminated carbon fiber on the upper dash - 7 times in last 13 years since new - it will leave the stable.

Cleaned radiators, replaced cracked passenger side shroud and installed Rennline mesh. Installed Fabspeed tips after jet coating with ceramic.
