I did a mod to my car today that always reminds me what kind of car I’m driving whenever I get in it. Passenger too.

It comes in handy at gas stations when people ask me “what kind of Porsche is that??”

you can just open the door and point at the floor mat.

It also adds 5 or 6 whp because the DME now has further confirmation of the model designation, so it’s always on kill mode.

Like the mats! Mine are usually hanging in the garage, as I use the old red ones for Daily Driver Duty. These go in when I want a bump in HP.

I went out for a spin during lunch since we're in the low-60s today.

The weather should be that way through the weekend so it looks like I can get a few more rides in before going away for the winter.

I recently passed 30k miles so I went ahead with some regular service items. I’m no mechanic so to a trusted shop it went. Regular service items plus plugs, coil packs, brake fluid, wiper blades and a full PDK service with filter and pan replacement. Should be good to go for many miles and maybe I’m fooling myself, but I can feel the difference.

I also replaced the battery with an Anti-Gravity battery but I did manage to do that myself a few weeks ago

Had some fun this weekend installing .2 intercoolers.

After driving the car with the new intercoolers, I realize it is the FIRST modification I should have done to the car.

I installed the Rennkit eRams to replace my OEM hydraulic rams. The passenger side was leaking and I've already had one error code, so figured it was about time. Installation went well.

Dave at Rennkit was helpful on a couple of questions. With the printed instructions and installation video, I was able to do the job in about 3 hours, which included set up and putting the tools away afterwards. I got the 4" size - look great on the car.

Do those make a noticeable difference in normal driving? My understanding is that you mostly notice them when it's both hot out and you're running it hard, but I could be mistaken.

The .2 intercoolers are nice upgrades, be careful to check them occasionally for leaks around the end tanks. One of mine failed at 5,000ish miles.

I've had this kit twice now.. one on my previous 996TT and now the 997TT. Twice on the 997TT I'm getting a wing error above 75mph. I had my local shop fix it.. but the bastard still keeps popping back on. Curious how yours will hold up.. fingers crossed for you.
