Massively overpriced. When the market was going up every day and crypto bros were partying at 70k, these prices made sense. They need to be 25% lower.

This speed yellow 7.2 was just listed by GP. Lowest MSRP ($113k) I’ve ever seen. Used to be owned by a Rennlister and discussed in this thread about 2 years ago.

So I’m counting what 13 - 997.2 GT3 for sale on auto trader, so seems like about 4x more than last summer?

It does suck for the guys that stretched to buy last year, it’s not particularly easy to justify having these in the garage if there is uncertainty coming.
But like you said, I think spec matters… and will more and more over time.
I remember 10 years ago trying to buy a grabber orange 70 boss 302 and finding one with deluxe int and a drag pack and refusing to pay $10k more for it… now you couldn’t find a matching numbers one if you had an open checkbook.

Yea I guess that also says something for the guys that shop specifically for the one they want… I know I did, my guess is they arnt as quick to sell either.

I’m the same way. I searched forever for the perfect spec. Rationally, I knew that even the most stripped down build would give me the same driving enjoyment, but emotionally, I wanted the best and most unique build to add to the ownership experience. I didn’t mind paying up to get exactly what I wanted. The up charge is irrelevant in the long term.

Strange the car is already gone. The listing is gone from the dealers site as well. No pictures, details, or any mention of it on their social media. May have been a website glitch as they had the car previously and for some reason automatically relisted, owner of the car decided to back out and not sell, or owner of the dealer decided to keep the car for himself. I’ve heard the dealer owner likes yellow cars (has a very low mileage Speed Yellow 997 GT2) so him deciding to keep the GT3 for himself wouldn’t surprise me.
