I purchased that car. Maybe the market is cooling. Maybe I should have held out for one without paintwork. Nevertheless, I flew to NY and put 950 miles on it the first day. I can’t tell it has been hit and I plan to pile on the miles as a daily driver while the guys on the sideline determine the optimum date to get in the 997GT3 market.
For me, it is just imperfect enough that I won’t fret about using it. I won’t be the guy at the DE with three rolls of painter’s tape on the nose.

Was looking at this car in detail since I'm thinking hard about selling my 997.2 with very similar specs minus the PCCB. Noticed the rear deck lid to bumper gap is pretty bad. I know our cars have those little twisty rubber bump stops for adjustment, but I'm abroad and get to my car to examine. Can anyone confirm? Seller did say the car had a minor rear collision. Anyways I would be careful if bidding on this one. Could be easy as turning the rear rubber bump stops, but not sure. Thoughts?

Looks like the decklid isn't latched down... I'd have to see it in person.

So, was that another BaT .2RS record (other than 4.0s) ?
And no, that decklid definitely isn't closed in the pic in question.

Curious why you think it's cooling off. Good examples of both gens continue to break prior sales records.
As for the 4.0, you've got a 12/21 BaT sale with 11k miles at $525k, and then 2 very recent super low mileage examples at around the 700 mark, with one not meeting reserve 2 days ago at 613k.
PCar has had several similar low mileage cars go for over 700. Even with 19k miles, if it's pristine, I'd guess still 500 or so?
For some reason, they're wildly cheaper in Europe right now. ~300Euro or so with some miles. Too bad they're not 25 years old yet.
