2007 997.1 with 85,000 miles. "This car was a daily driver and has a story, however with the PPF and consistent service the car is in great shape and an excellent value. Asking $98,000."

Probably the lowest priced 997 in the country at this point. Still crazy that with those miles and a "story" it's still asking close to six figures.

That shop is super clean!

Would totally buy this car if I was looking. Particularly if Autometrics maintained it.

is the story a salvage title? There are pictures on their website of them rebuilding wrecked cars ... assumingly for resale or track use. There was a similar car that sold in the mid $80s with almost identical mileage and a clean title here in the SF bay area a few weeks back. It was posted in this thread. I will say that I haven't called to confirm the nature of the story on this particular example, so maybe the car wasn't wrecked and has a clean title.

What I find useful is to enter the VIN into this site: https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AC2A92AS783445/

For .2, Atlas VIN's are as follows:
WP0AC2A92AS783445
WP0AC2A9XAS783452
WP0AC2A96AS783495

Anybody know this car by chance?
Its currently at Hendrick Porsche in North Carolina
PCA sticker on the windshield....
If you want to try and get in contact with the previous owner, you may want to post in the Carolina Region FB group and see if anyone knows the car/owner or if the owner is in the FB group.

I got service records for a 997.2 GT3 I’m considering. The previous owner complained about the front axle lift system not going down:

And the dealer wrote an estimate for $10,700:

And it was not fixed.

Any folks here had similar problems? I assume independent shop should give a lower estimate. Need to do a research on what exact parts have to be replaced in this case.
