is the story a salvage title? There are pictures on their website of them rebuilding wrecked cars ... assumingly for resale or track use. There was a similar car that sold in the mid $80s with almost identical mileage and a clean title here in the SF bay area a few weeks back. It was posted in this thread. I will say that I haven't called to confirm the nature of the story on this particular example, so maybe the car wasn't wrecked and has a clean title.

I got service records for a 997.2 GT3 I’m considering. The previous owner complained about the front axle lift system not going down:
And the dealer wrote an estimate for $10,700:
And it was not fixed.
Any folks here had similar problems? I assume independent shop should give a lower estimate. Need to do a research on what exact parts have to be replaced in this case.
