He has stated before he is hedging against inflation and filling a warehouse with these cars.

I don't buy it. If you look at the carfaxes still available for many of these cars, none have been re-registered or titled. My bet is he is exporting them. He has also bought a lot of low mileage GT cars directly from dealers, so his total purchases are far beyond what we see on BaT.

I have sold a few cars that were exported to Europe and the export and Country were indicated on the reports.

You're probably right, but maybe getting the paperwork from BCP takes months before it shows up on carfax whereas a registration or title transfer is usually reported within a week or two. Just based on the cars he's bought, it does not look like something for a private collection (too many near identical cars and some of average desirability). If this is an inflation hedge, it's probably the riskiest one imaginable. Just doesn't add up to me. But what do I know?

They likely reconditioned it by cleaning up the wheels for $400 and then air brushed some of the blemishes and will now sell it as nearly pristine.
Has anyone been watching this one?

They had it listed at $220K where it sat for a while then bumped it to $314K for no reason whatsoever. Was up on PCA and bid to $85K two years ago with a standard wheel instead of the RS wheel, steel rotors instead of ceramics, etc. Seller had no explanation for the changes at the time, but now it has been brought back to the stock configuration. Did anyone ever see a PPI or over rev report?

car is an excellent opportunity (nice spec), if the bidding stays as low as it should.
3 yrs ago, this car would go for $70k - $75k at most (with that mileage, condition & track accident + repair), and going back 5+ yrs ago it would have been a $60k car.
I'm trying to be nice here,... but that car has not been cared for.
I haven't researched the VIN,... but is this that red 3 that had all the track damage pics splattered all over rennlist years back? 792263 is not coming up with anything
