I thought they were asking $900k tops considering the ambitious pricing on their other cars. I guess I underestimated them. Going for big profits considering they got it for $622k.

Maybe they are asking only $900,000, and some industrious broker thinks he's found gold and deserves a commensurate commission?

Bidding to bid it up. Not bidding to win. He would have had quite the inventory of sub 10k mile GT3s if he got it.

I believe there were more .1 RS units built worldwide than .2 RS, however less .1 RS were sold in North America than .2 RS.

Someone will chime in with definitive figures, but I think there are fewer .1 RS than .2 RS worldwide. Here are the figures from another thread (quoting Total 911 and excluding 4.0s):

7.1 GT3 RS 1106
7.2 GT3 RS 1500

I stumbled on this car last week in the parking lot when stopping by Porsche Irvine for some Optimol. I was afraid to even inquire on asking price given it's in Irvine...looks like it's on par with market. If anyone needs eyes on it, let me know.

pretty fair price in today’s market w those wheels included. A much cleaner car than the one at GP.

The numbers are the numbers.
Less 997.1 GT3RS worldwide and in the US over any modern 3RS.

Numbers are numbers. But which are the correct numbers? I've also read that there were ~1,900 .1 RS world wide and ~1,550 .2 excluding the 4.0's.

Yep, I also see that there are conflicting figures out there. Is it ~1900 or ~1106 for the .1 RS?

It’s you.
I know 3 that traded in the mid $400s in the spring.
