I'm still amazed at how quickly, & how high the prices have risen for the non-motorsport 997's.
It almost seems that Doug's white/white .1 IF it is priced in the $120k's, would be priced in the same bracket as some of these GTS models that are in the $100k - $120k range (all 3 examples below are in the 20k - 22k mileage)... so my guess - it is a bit higher

Steve is just saying that if the GTS is beginning to see prices in the 120's then the GT3 has to be higher. I don't think he trying to compare them at all. At least that's what I'm deducting from the read.

I have no experience with the 997.2 GTS from a driving perspective, although I tried to shop for one at the end of 2017, beginning of 2018. This was back when prices were in the $70s for a nice one. Ended up with a 997.2 C2S as I had some specific options that I wanted (full leather, no alcantara seats, PDK, etc). At the time I was actually finding cars that met my criteria, but they were 6 speeds and not PDK like I wanted. I could not justify the $5-10k premium that was being asked when they weren't optioned how I wanted. I know that I expected more than I got from the 997.2 C2S driving experience. It didn't exactly feel special to me. Maybe that was the toned down exhaust (even with PSE and a Sharkwerks bypass), maybe that was since mine was PDK (which I wanted at the time), maybe that was because it didn't have the more sporty looks of the GT3 with the wing and better front bumper, etc. But I cannot imagine a 997.2 GTS being 25% better than a 997.2 C2S with all of the sport options (except for the X51 Powerkit). So there's no way that I'd go for a 997.2 GTS if the prices were within $10k of a 997.1 GT3. I guess the one that got away was a guy selling his Platinum Silver 997.2 GTS with natural red full leather, sport seats and a 6 speed for $70k with under 20k miles. Didn't want a 6 speed, so I passed on that car. Later got listed for $90k. I bet that car would bring well over $100-110k in today's market. Either way, very glad with where I ended up as the 997.1 GT3 is a perfect car for my use. Clearly I gave up the no alcantara seat requirement. I also gave up the full leather requirement when shopping for GT3's, even though mine ended up having it.

I've been looking for a white/champagne .2 RS for a while now, and have a friend offering me his white / silver .1 that is stunning. It has no graphics, though he has some factory graphics in the wings that can be mounted. Truth be told my .2 GT3 is all I need, and I'm not sure how a .1 and .2 RS would differ from each other. I know there are people in both camps.

I've felt that way too. The GTS listed at Grand Prix was mine, and it was a great car and beautiful but the excitement factor is nowhere near my GT3. If my old GTS which was a prime example is worth $110k then a prime .1 GT3 should be worth $20-$30k more, and that's kind of where we are nowadays. A .2 GT3 even more. Though in all fairness the original retail uptick from GTS to GT3 was around $4k as I recall.

That video is from 2019, so when Doug had it the first time. Doug also sold it earlier this year, I think, or late last year.
My guess is somewhere in the $120s. Very fair given it has pinned lines and a full car clear film. When I was interested in it, the old film had just been removed, if I remember correctly.
