@RAudi Driver , it was a genuine question! 8). There were comments indicating it was re-painted by Porsche, which I take to mean by Porsche Classic? I was not aware that Porsche Classic also do work on modern Porsches, with even their own literature talking about how their paint setup is specifically for the paint process used on old Porsche's, which differ considerably to the latest paint technology, and wouldn't be 'period correct' for an early model restoration.
Therefore I was interest to know if that was the case (this was actually done by as close to Porsche AG as possible, i.e. Porsche Classic) or whether this vehicles paint job was instead likely done by the typical external shops that Porsche dealers send the majority of their customer cars to for repairs. I'm not looking at buying that car, but interested to know given it probably makes a difference to the value or otherwise of the color change.

Not sure the question of what color the car was originally was answered, the car was white.

We’ll hope that Porsche knows that when removing the window seal rivets will drop into the rear quarter and cause outward dents. Hopefully they got all of them out.

In all seriousness, what an amazing job. While I am not a fan of color changing a car like this, if you’re going to do it, this is the way to do it.

I'm just sitting in for Bxstr, LOL, as he's the one that's normally doing all the research and answering all the questions that we have. I'm off of work and fully rested so am just enjoying the forums and life in general without having to think about work for a few weeks.

Carry on folks!

Haha - thanks! Been extra busy the past couple of weeks and when it started to get a bit crazy in here I decided to take a break. Hopefully some good cars will be coming to market that we can start posting and analyzing again.

This Orange .1 RS looks like it will be on BAT soon. 29k miles and heavily modded.

Looks like the RANGER mobile!! if it is that car is modified to a high standard. I think Champion did the work.

So a full on track car, and the motor was changed from the 4.2 to a 3.8. Wondered what happened to the 4.2

Ranger’s Champion built 4.2 is perhaps the greatest of all Mezger engines. If this is indeed Ranger’s old car, I hope the 3.8 isn’t in there because the 4.2 came to an end.
