The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
#7531
The car at Cross was mine, i took the stickers off and it looks much better naked in my opinion. I’m a enthusiast with a GT3 of every generation, I had been looking for a .2 RS and found this one owner car, I spoke with the original owner a Doctor who did track the car some but thats what they were made to do, He assured me it was a solid no story car and he traded it for another car, it only has tiny blip in stage 1 with 67 ignitions that’s it, it does have a cage in it but i was planning on taking it out and have new carpet ordered for the rear unless it sells as is, I’ve put about 600+ miles of smiles on this car and had it over 150mph, the sound, feel and engagement of this car is surreal, what a solid planted machine it is, there is a reason these cars are sublime 200k. The original owner took the ceramics off of it and gave them to the dealer, when i called them they played dumb, i have cars with ceramics and honestly these stop and feel extremely well, not a noticeable difference really. Anyway a piece of life changing property I have come across has me turning a page in life to lock that down is the only reason I’m selling the RS. Any real questions just let me or Marcus know

I'm not 100% sure but I thought there was an accident reported on carfax or autocheck. the car was on autotrader or cargurus a few months back. I remember thinking that was a high price given the accident. Could be wrong.

After reading a little further into it, there is definitely a lot of uncertainty about this cars past. Especially when spending this kind of money, you would want and expect it to be a no story car. Pretty bold of them to be asking $136k and firmly not lowering their price at all over the past few months.

I have one of the 23 CB GT3’s, bought back in Oct 2019. It was not the cleanest GT3 example, but I love the cobalt blue color, it was priced well below the 2021 market, and it was / is mechanically solid. I could barely afford it at the time (certainly not Dave Ramsey approved), but I bought it anyway, figuring I might not get another chance. I am SO glad I did. I feel bad for all you guys looking to get into the GT market right now but don’t have the type of funds to pay the 2021 price. I’m going to my first track event in a couple weeks. Super excited! My recommendation: if you find a car you like, even if it’s not perfect, buy it and make it your own.

my car just arrived this morning. I already have a mental list of things I want to / will do to it sometime over the next couple of years. It’s by no means a perfect car and I know paying basically MSRP or higher on a 10yr old pretty well used car is hard to swallow but honestly the way I see it as long as the car fax and PPI and DME comes back clean, everything else can be addressed down the road.

Congrats - you have a very special car given that it was the auto show car. If you google the vin and do some digging, you should be able to find the previous owner, I did. In case you want to talk with him and get some more info and keep in touch. Enjoy.

Someone should buy this car. It's the other one I considered back in 2019 when I was buying mine and it's the only one that I do think about whether I should have purchased or not. It's was formerly a RL'ers car. He moved into a .1RS. Has pinned lines too. No paintwork at the time of sale at Switchcars (2019) and Merit (2020).
