I found my car within one month. It seemed astronomically priced at the time compared to the rest of the market. Now it appears that I got a good deal.

When you find a good one, buy it. Prices will probably trend upwards over time. Of course there will be dips.

Also - I wasn't picky about color/options. I just wanted a properly maintained example.

I just bought one. Life is too short to wait for the right one to come along. Everyday spent looking is one day less spent driving and listening to that howling flat 6. You can always trade up to your "perfect spec" one when it comes along. There are 2-3 .2 for sale right now. Maybe one of them will fit the bill... temporary?

+1, if the PPI comes back clean & it's got the important options jump on it and enjoy! I hated silver more than anything before i bought my 6GT3, looked at it in person once and fell in love. it's really hard to go wrong with a 6/7GT3

Thanks to everyone who's reached out directly with ideas and support and to the commenters here. My post was very tongue-in-cheek because the market seems so wonky right now.

I had a fairly open set of guidelines for my search - and Doug has been helping as well - but it's a dry lake for cars "on the market". All I want is a driver's car with a solid maintenance history and, ideally, welded coolant lines. The rest can be whatever it is. Heck, I'd prefer 30,000 miles or more so I can triple that. This week I made the decision that I'm OK with any color, as long as the car has been cared for properly. I still have preferences, but I'd be happy with any good car in the long run.

Thanks again to the community for being a source of education, insight, and support!

This looks incredibly nice. I think the only thing missing that someone would want to have to purchase is paint meter readings.

Back in 2017 it looked to still be on original Cup tires.

Went through two of our local Ohio dealers too.

On the advice of several great people here, I've added a WTB thread to the market place. The hunt continues!

WTB post worked for me in finding a 1M years ago, just stay with it and you will find one. My GT3 is great and it took me awhile to find, it makes me appreciate the car even more because the hunt made me realize how few “no story” cars are out there.

My seller did not really want to sell, but life happens....people’s situations are always changing prompting them to sell a good example, stay the course and you will find your car.
