Yup. I don't have an issue with the satellite antennas. They are usually color-matched and low profile. The rod antennas looked ridiculous. At least the roof mounted ones can be unscrewed and you are left with just the angled base, which looks similar to a satellite antenna. The fender mounted ones you're stuck with the rectangular base right on your fender, even if you unscrew the rod.

Perfect, I can check the option that will add goofy rod antenna to rear center of roof.
I had a 997.1 Gt3 with one. 1) u can unscrew the longest piece of the antenna and be left with a stub. 2) I worried about it a little at first but I got past it and sometimes thought it gave it the look of a giant remote control car

That is hilarious, I've never noticed that option before.

Negative, ghost rider. This is the AM stick antenna. Option 461: External antenna to improve AM reception. Coupe: Mounted on roof above rear window. Cabriolet: Mounted on right front fender.

The GT3 I listed has the stick unscrewed so you only see the base. Here it is with the stick screwed on.

The cab version must look hideous. I don't think I've ever seen it optioned.

It is hideous and what's worse, on some 2009 Carrera models, Porsche did the fender mount on coupes as well.

yeah, I know that exists - not doubting that, I just think the one in the GT3 ad is different (sat radio) - it looks like mine, and it has no screw in aerial. I could be wrong, hard to zoom to any level of certainty

White .2 GT3 with 31k miles. Has a clean Carfax, but no DME on current listing. Although, it says the DME was clean on the prior listing which was 5k miles ago. Car has only a few options which include Sports Chrono and Dynamic Corning Headlights. Car is stock with exception of the wheels (which are black powder coated) and according to the owner it has not been tracked. Asking price is $105k which seems pretty fair.
Current listing:

Prior listing:
https://www.thomasclassics.com/vehic...oh-id-15404840
VIN: WP0AC2A93AS783177
Just a random listing I found on PCA Mart that I thought was a "bit" ridiculous:

Back in 2016 I happened to be at Thomas Classics and took a pic that had it in the background. Figured I would add that. Took that pic 7/27/16, so right before it sold.

No takers on this car at $130k? Last sold on BaT for more and the owner put in quite a bit of work since acquiring the car last year.

Seems like a good buy for a mechanically clean white .1 RS. The lack of PPF and the owner admitting it has some paint imperfections might have scared some potential buyers off. Plus, PCA Mart doesn’t get a ton of exposure.
