Hello All - long time reader, first time post-er. I recently sold a 996TT and am looking to buy a 997.1 GT3. Been following this thread for a long time to see what pops up and try to get a feel for the market. My intention is to enjoy on the streets on the monthly POC DE events in the vicinity of home base. I keep coming back to the car below. The car sold last year in BAT and was acquired by a dealer in Oklahoma who has put about 500 personal miles on it. Other than the history on it found through the BAT auction, does anyone have any other info on this car? Sure it is priced on the higher side for a .1 but it has low miles, GT2 carbon fiber seats, cage and is not white/silver. Any thoughts on why this car hasn't sold yet? Any insight is appreciated.

Good looking car! I’m sure there are many on here that know history. Regardless, have a PPI done on it if this is the one you want and go from there. GLWP! She’s a looker👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Definitely and thank you! I am in San Diego and being that the car is in OK it has been interesting deciding how to proceed. I have spoken to Rennsport Werkstatt who is lined up to do PPI if I don’t get any “run for the hills” responses.

Welcome to the madness. You may already know this but Signature started out offering it at 126k when they bought off BaT. They joined RL around time of acquisition and tried to defend their price. If I remember correctly, they did some maintenance, tires + paid transport when they got it. I think people struggled originally to see a .1 priced that high, even if red, even if low mile, even with those seats. That being said, think they're getting closer on price now that it's lowered. If nobody else can, Doug/Switchcars's services could help with history too.

For what it's worth, I bought my 997.1 GT3 from Austin at Signature Motors. Great buying experience. I was a little worried because I couldn't really find any reviews of the place. I'm located in AZ so I was also a little nervous about buying a car out of state. With that said, Austin was very responsive and I overall had a great experience. If given the chance I would definitely buy again from him.

This definitely helps knowing that it went well with Austin. I appreciate that!

100%, and I think that's part of the struggle here. This car would really benefit from having stock parts, seats included too. Those seats only add 10k in value if you also have sofas to replace with. Interestingly, you can have a pretty good idea of what Signature has spent so far to this point if you factor in BaT fee and look at some old posts. Looks like a nice car though, hopefully a deal can be made where both sides are happy.

It is. I sold my white .2 GT3 with buckets and ceramics with 28k miles for about that a few months ago.

Nice car, but I don't know where they get that "one of 25" for green RS.

27 for US just in 2007, and 21 more in 2008. 52 total for North American production, plus the Mexican and Puerto Rican cars that were US spec but not counted in that total (and are now in the US)

This .2 RS just popped up. Grey black with no decals and about 4K miles. Asking $226k. Price is a little on the high side IMO.
