On paper this vehicle looked pretty decent so I decided to take the drive and have a look.... I am perplexed with the vehicle and its condition and hope someone can help. There is some info lurking around about this VIN: WP0AC2A90BS783235 , but not enough to fill in allot of questionable things.
Thanks for posting your observations on this car. And like mentioned in the next post, the fact that it's currently a CPO speaks to the overall QC that went into that process!

Thank you for the additional information!! I know one of the owners was/is a member of this forum, curious to hear if he has anything to add.

Of-course! I spent ~3 hours driving and wouldn't want others to do the same after being led to believe the vehicle is nearly-immaculate.

If anyone would like, feel free to DM me, I took a 15 minute walk around and brief inspection video that I can send over. Nothing close to a PPI, but I am sure it could help someone down the line.
I do not think I am any bit interested in a vehicle in this condition for obvious reasons. What is this vehicle worth? 120k? Far from the 168k that is being asked with how much TLC that needs to be put into this RS. Crack-price, thats for certain.

Post 34 describes how the car looked back when the Texas owner had it. Sounds like it was in great condition back then, the oil leak he mentions would be considered normal, most likely RMS. He has not been on Rennlist since 2014.

I would have made the same choice as you, without question. I prefer the looks of the .1 and you don’t have to deal with the pains of owning a black car.

Yup, that too. I owned 2 991s with center locks and while I got somewhat comfortable with them, I still had my reservations. And also forgot to mention the .1 being fully sorted makes it a win imo.

The .1 Wing I Never liked & Sunroof?

They could not have been nicer to work with. Crazy set of circumstances but they actually delivered it to me in Columbus today (that is not part of their normal service). I put about 50 miles on it today before the rains started moving in.

First impression, It feels very raw compared to my c2s. The Club seats are a pain to get in and out of but I love them (so I don't plan to sell them, before you ask). The PCCB brakes are noticeably better than my c2s. The clutch feels a little heavier and the shifter feels more pronounced (almost like it is gated). It is an amazing car!

Thanks again, Doug, Daniel, and Thomas as well as Bxstr for leading me to Switchcars. All first rate Guys!
If you watch their Vinwiki channel on youtube, they probably had a wedding to go to by your house

Good evening.
Does anyone know the story with this car? https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/d...sche-gt3-rs-3/

It is also for sale on ebay. It does have 30k miles and possibly 7 owners but the price is in regular GT3 territory... Its tempting.

aside from guys who heavily track, I am not sure why there seems to be so much apprehension on CL's. I consider myself a backyard mechanic who has built many motors myself over the decades, and has a deep garage of specialty tools from such builds.

I've had my .2 with Ceramic PCCB & CL's for 2 years now. It's not rocket science. In fact very easy to pull off, check the moly grease & stability of the CL nut itself, and re-install. Just did it last night in a record time of 3 minutes (once I got the car in the air). I use the Rennlist SmokinGTS glide tool to protect my Ceramic rotors too. easy peezy.

anyway,... just thought I would chime in to give perspective for those guys who may not have ever done it,... and are considering a .1 over a .2 for solely that reason.

Steve is right on and a voice of reason. Aside from a full blown track car there is no reason to be all worked up about CL’s. They look much better IMO and are right up there with sport chrono as the most over analyzed spec in a Porsche GT car.
