In 2010 I almost pulled the trigger on a .1 RS that was offered at a dealer at $93k. Black/orange, $140k-ish MSRP, 3k miles, pristine.

I briefly owned a 997.2 RS w/10k miles, loaded options, $116k back in 2012. I also had an allocation at MSRP for a 4.0RS that I passed on because I was too chicken to spend $200k on a car that I would beat on at the track. My my how times have changed......

Whomever coined the term "hindsight is 20/20".
I think I'm going to look for GT3 cause of the price delta between that and the RS. I'm having a hard time "thinking" of letting go my Camaro.
Steve, this pics for you
Blue ones mine, the orange one belongs to a friend, but was Dale Jr's build by DSE bout 10 years ago. He drove it like its supposed to be driven.

I bought my gt2 back then at a fair price but ready to add rs to stable. Looks like time is right. Thanks!

I agree. I bought mine at the very top about 18 months ago. But I've enjoyed every moment with the car over those months and to me it's worth every penny. Besides, I'm never selling this one!

I think they are low at the moment
when ppl figure out 997 > 991 in a year or two.....
I predicted 4.0, 3.8, 3.6 and 996gt3 price rises... and I am fairly sure this is the time to buy.
I just can't find one I want.
it if had chromo.... to me, it's worse than garbage... that's 98% of the RS out there oh well

Car drives, looks, and sounds awesome. I was going to buy because I was obsessed with it and parked my 7.1 GT3 next to it everyday for almost a year. Previous owner lived in my building. It didn’t work out for me but ignitions happened so long ago and I’ve been on cruises with the current owner at PNH that I wasn’t worried. I was also planning a Sharkwerks rebuild at the time. Part of me still wants it but I’m eying a GT4 euro delivery right now and searching for the perfect 7.1 RS. I’d give them a shout.

I could care less about the 250 GTO. Amazing car, but I don't need to own one. The F1, on the other hand......
