FWIW it looks like the PCCBs are retained and the calipers are painted, which is kinda popular here in LA, so I am assuming elsewhere as well...kinda unfortunately IMO...lots of base carreras rocking speed yellow calipers for example.
I *might* go see this car in person tomorrow. 100% just to see, I swear. If I go see it, I will report back whether people like it or not!!
I agree with this, except Ill throw in the curveball of 2007 GT3s. They are now 12 years old, so those cars seeing 5k miles a year is still pretty minimal use. Again, end of day how well they were cared for definitely comes into play. For example, Im willing to bet my 2 owner 64k mile GT3 is cleaner than most 15-50k mile examples. When buying these cars, its really about you are buying the owner vs the car.
I Agree with this statement. A bit ocd but - No buttons on jeans, no food, no dirty shoes, no dirty hands, don’t touch anything if you don’t have to, don’t slam door, don’t lean on car, park far, don’t park under trees, no gravel roads, no hard bumps, park in shade, don’t park under trees, don’t drive to close to other cars, no driving in rain, don’t wash under sun, let me help put your studded handbag in the rear please. The list goes on and on, buy the seller. I do believe a 50k mile well taken care of vs 10k don’t give a shhhht are worlds apart. High mile mechanical issues can always be taken care of but a car with a nick here and a scratch there, a little dent back here, a little sun damage on dash really looks and feels like a used up trasher. I ruined my first Porsche in the 90’s, was young and didn’t know any better, when I attempted to sell, the first buyer said low miles but I can’t buy this car and then asked if it’s my first Porsche. Learned to respect these cars and pamper them.

Haha. I adhere to all these rules for the weekend cars. Including the kids. They know the rules by now. The DD's are a different story. They get trashed day in and day out.

Agree completely. I would much rather buy your car, since I know you took care of it, based on your posts here, compared to a random car from a dealer. Honestly, the only dealer I feel comfortable buying a GT3 from is Switchcars. Maybe Merit Partners too.
There have been a few cars pop up lately retrofitted with rear seats. The cobalt blue 997.1 and a black 997.2 both on the classifieds here. It's a cool idea to put them in there if you have small people to fit in the back. My concern would be what happens in the event of an accident? These cars weren't build with back seats and not meant to have rear passengers. I wonder what the legal ramifications could be?
My GT3 had proper back seats when I purchased it. I eventually switched everything back to stock as the rear panels had holes drilled to mount the seats and the braces welded in for the seat belts. The parts that need to be welded in and attention to detail here are most important in my mind for proper use. Of course it states on the rear of the front seats that it's not a place for passengers which I would expect to hold up in court.

My 997.1 GT3 has all the hook up spots there from the factory.... It has been discussed in detail on different threads that the 997.1 GT3 has all the hookups from the factory while the 997.2 GT3 does not.....
