Curious, was your car a Sound Package Plus car (9 speakers) or a regular car (4 speakers but really, pretty much two and two things in the dash)?
My car was a sound package plus car so I can't speak to the impact on the standard audio system per se but I'm sure it's still worth doing and should be even easier.

What you usually do is EXACTLY what I had in mind! But with 2 speakers and 35 watts, I don't think I will even be able to hear a single lyric!

You guys are going to think this is odd but after 10 years of working 60-70 hour weeks, I am finding myself not needing to be glued to my phone/email anymore. So with that, I have purchased multiple iPod's that are refurbished with lithium batteries and some with SSDs. I've loaded them with songs and now have a super awesome iPod Nano that I take on mountain bike rides, skiing, workouts, etc and a regular iPod I keep in the car. So using AUX input and super old school music players I have detached from the phone most waking hours. So would like the GT3 to keep that and not have CarPlay or a screen - just a way to plug in an old school iPod and rock out on canyon roads.

Kind of a similar mindset, but I’ve been hitting the record exchange the last couple months to collect CDs (again) because it’s just kind of nice to pop in something and listen start to finish rather than continually hitting next from the music app on my phone. It’s actually been really fun to just pop in every few weeks and see what is in stock and scratches an itch I’d like to listen to excessively. I’ve got a case logic case in my glovebox now with about 15 or so to choose from.

I can see that and I felt the same way when I picked up my GT3 recently, but after a few drives it became apparent I was reliant on navigation and found myself trying to shift gears with a phone in my hand. I just fitted CarPlay last night and very happy with it so far.

Funny my wife said ‘I thought you liked that car because it has no tech’ but I think I need a little bit for practicality/safety. Really don’t want to be distracted with looking down at my phone for directions if it can be avoided.

The wireless Bluetooth is nice too so I can put the phone away fully and the sound is more full and warm

Couldn’t agree more on Nav. PCCM+ was a great upgrade for me. I’m always getting lost on backroads so being able to safely navigate is key.

Driving time I want to be away from my phone and from screens, but the option of nav is nice.

PCCM+ was a godsend for me, not for music but for nav!

No, I get it. I'm an audiophile and (bad) musician, and I want super high quality audio almost all the time . . . EXCEPT in the P cars. My use case is driving them 90+% for "sporting purpose," and they're loud enough that it's a losing battle to try and overcome those exhaust / engine dBs. So I will often carry my good isolating earbuds with my iPhone and pop those in while en route.

Since were "kinda" off topic (LOL)

What good isolated ear buds are you using?

Now back to the For Sale thread....I personally like when we go a little off topic. Its all related to some degree (expect my last question...)

Not a fan of "noise-canceling" tech. Go for high density foam. It's the preferred choice for Mezger damping . . .

WP0AC29977S793241 was just listed by Sewickley Cars in PA maybe yesterday, and I just called them and it is already sold. Was listed previously on here back in 2013 prior to sale by dealership. Unclear how many miles but a clean CarFax

Since we're so OT, does anyone know if the cars spec'd with PCM delete from factory, do they have any speakers?
