I may be mistaken on the steering wheel as it look like that .1 currently on Bat also has a mismatched wheel. Does this happen when one orders a leather steering wheel?

Yes, as I also considered the recently added white .1 on BaT when it was with the prior FL owner, whom couldn't stop talking about the OEM 'thicker, leather-wrapped' steering wheel option (code XPA).
Several things I noticed on the yellow one that nobody asked questions about is the amount of road rash on a 22k mile example, with little DE track time. I'm also calling BS onto 800 full Detail job performed on March 2024. If it was detailed, they got ripped off.
The emblem looks to have seen better days. Pretty nasty gouge in addition to the rest of the emblem looking worked.
Zoom in on these next few shots and tell me it looks like someone PPF'd over a peppered bumper.
For 22k miles, that's a lot of rash. They even ppf'd over it in the upper area of this picture.
Looks like the steering wheel was replaced. Not a GT3 wheel.
Driver's seat looks to have been in storage or something stored on top of it for a while.
Endless RF650 for a street car?
1) Calling BS on the full detail job. Why question the integrity of the seller? Based on the auction, he has been straightforward. This was reflected in the final bid amount.
2) Not sure what is wrong with the emblem...
3) Yes, it is likely the PPF was not install when the car was new.
4) This amount of road rash is to be expected if the car has been driven as intended. You will get this amount of road rash very quickly after driving the car in the mountains/canyons, especially in the winter.
5) It is a GT3 steering wheel. Just read the specs sheet.
6) Not sure what is wrong with the driver seat
7) Endless RF650. Yes, unnecessary for street driving. That being said, there are lots of cars driving around on the streets with completely unnecessary track upgrades.
Overall, I don't understand the purpose of throwing shade on what looks like a great car. I am all in favor of sharing FACTS about the cars discussed here. Not a fan of guesses...
Given how insane prices are for .2 RSs, .2s and .1 RSs, I am not sure why the .1 GT3s pricing should not follow suit...

The leather steering wheel is correct. On the leather wheel the silver plastic trim piece on the spokes should be finished in Galvano Silver and the outer horn/airbag piece is Volcano Grey. On an Alcantara wheel it would all be Volcano Grey.

I'm taking this as Porsche didn't really have a leather wheel for the Gt3 and if a customer wanted it, it was pulled from a standard 997 to please the customer. Whey would they do a mismatch like that?

Same reason our cars inexplicably have Galvano Silver door pulls when everything else is Volcano ?

Yes there never was a GT3 specific leather sport steering wheel.

Funny enough if you got a base 911 you get Volcano Grey trim unless you upgrade to an S or Turbo. All the GT you get volcano as well unless optioned with something else (CF, painted, etc.). Door pulls were never available in volcano.

I 100% agree here. This car came out in 2007 when PPF wasn’t the thing it is today. In fact, most of these cars weren’t PPF’d at all or were later PPF’d when the product was more mainstream and allowed for custom cutting. That’s one of the reasons why some spots had PPF over a few rock chips - it was driven as intended. Original owner car too so I bet he went through that journey over the 17 years of ownership - maintain and drive. Everything represented on this yellow car was pretty standard and to be expected for its mileage and age.
There’s no need to throw shade or speculate. Whoever bought it got a sweet car!
I ordered that car new! Sold it to a guy in WA, then it went to TX, then I guess eventually to Obsessed and now back in Cincy! Someone from Cincy should buy it- it wants to live here!

Comment from the seller: Protective film was applied to the full nose, headlights, fog lights, mirrors and rockers during break-in period and before any track use.
My 2007 highly optioned GT3 with full leather and deviated yellow stitching came with a leather steering that also has the yellow stitching. It looks like a factory option.
