I have the number somewhere, it was in the 600s. So fewer than an RS America

For no warranty, better go older, simpler beaters that are cheaper to fix.

If they do appreciate, great, I get to not lose a lot money and buy the next beater.

Don't buy cars to not drive them, and that's why Tom, you need to ship that 964Turbo to me.
I am beginning to think like this. Had deal on nice .2 RS but fell thru at last minute or it would be in my garage right now. Didn't like my offer on .2 3 thus dealer still owns. Fly to NC friday to pick up my warranted 15 991 3. Can't wait but still have my doubts about paddles.

interesting... yea, looks like same car shows up on the Prestige site as a car they sold for $149500 (guessing Canadian).

That said, I drive it all the time (bought it with 14k on the clock, now approaching 21k) but continue to use my 993 for track duty. Now that 993 prices are starting to get out of control, I feel like I need a third track car to keep my other two track cars safe

We ended up in the same situation! I went ahead and bought 85golds track 6.3.

And I bought a Cayman S. if I stuff it into a wall, I'll just go buy another one. Lower cost of tracking too with plenty of tire options.

So my car is "worth" 30-40k more than I paid for it... maybe it keeps going up, who knows, but for now, thats the story. That doesn't include the crap-ton of $ I've put into it making it safe and more fun for the track.

What do I do, stop driving it and go buy another car for the track that'll cost me another 50-100k (or 150k in case of new GT3... just for a warranty... ) and let this one sit? $50k buys a lot of warranty parts, track tires, track time, coaching, brake pads, and gas.

Not my style. That 100-200k will sit in equities and property while I enjoy my (what should be depreciating) asset.

Even at 90k the .1 non-rs is a great driver deal. Buy one and enjoy the crap out of it on the track and street.

Maybe I'm more aligned to the guys who race their 250 GTO, Lister Jags, and 60s/70s porsche race cars

That remains to be seen. You'll be on 12HC limit slicks soon enough.

Tires are smaller so they'll be cheaper.

Yeah. Almost had a beautiful 10 RS but was not to be. Patience is a virtue I don't have. Still unsure about 2 pedals but only one way to find out. Looking forward to the experiment
