Not the best driving with experimenting new found MPH and grip level.
If I would have nailed it, it would have been a 2:16 for sure. TBL was 2:15!!

Top trap speeds in Bishops gone from 125mph in prior vids to consistent 130mph (133 when you overcooked it).

Most impressive.

At really cold weather the difference falls dramatically between RA-1 and Hoosier, slicks.
I'm not running michelins.
Michelin are about a second faster and they heat cycle out easier

Peter, right at the early laps I could draft you just fine coming out of 16 you will see in the video.

Absolutely? But it does show the potential. Now very inconsistent. Normally I'm real close but with so much more speed I needed more than 6 laps to figure it out.

For example to find out 133 is too fast through bishop and still make it.

LOL

I have data, but your VBox thingy won't read it. Eddie's AIM will read it just fine.

@Trackar, your 130mph at Bishop on RA1 is epic.

Picking up the Fiat today after three months of waiting for repairs, and another 5 months it spent at Orbit on upgrades and more repairs. The car will be 4 years old in just 2 months, and the odo reads 12,000 miles.

Seriously thinking on putting it back to stock, sell an inventory of Cayman parts, Fiat parts, leave the Fiat for autoX and fun local trips, and replace Cayman with a dedicated affordable track car, but it needs to be street legal.

My StateFarm car policy renewal came with an amendment, no more track coverage, not even on driving schools, not even autoX.
Internet here at the Crapeau is too slow for YouTube now.
Stupid aim does not show last or best lap. VBOX FTW.

Why make it stock? Leave it for one lap wonder TT and autoX and the valet. The last 2 are similar anyway in use and abuse.
We all know where to get track insurance and there are a few companies out there that offer coverage.

The Gayman has to go anyway, so might as well get a 4.0. You will do a 2:10 long before the 2019RS flat8 arrives. Just when CPO runs out..

A few of the guys have tried Pirelli WC and Michelin Blue new slicks, and their lap times have dropped accordingly.

At tracks with more turns, slicks would be a lot faster. At Cal Speedway, I was 5 secs faster on skinny slicks, compared to brand new 265/345 race-spec MPSC in my 07RS.

@Trakcar knows and I know my Fiat has nothing for a 4.0RS, it runs barely runs even with the 3.8RS with my upgrades. The Aerokit would make my Fiat run even with the 4.0RS but I don't feel like going there.
I do agree that the blues are 5 seconds, Pirelli 3-4 and Hoosiers 2.
Don't put more money in the Fiat. Please.

I'm talking cars set up for those tires. My setup is completely different from Hoosiers forget slicks.

Guys mess way to much with $$ tires and then don't even use them well because they don't know the ideal setup. Or cant adjust to th changing grip level fast enough and it even more difficult when they attempt to drive them past theirv1 weekend ideal lifespan.

That's the beauty of RA1 and NT01 setup, same tire from new to cord, lasts 2 weekends, front 4 weekends and cost half of the alternatives

But you go 2-5 seconds slower. Except opening lap. I try to line up first and run away from them like hell LOL.

Reviewing the night session the VBOX OLED display was screaming bright! Not sure your eyes could have ever adjusted themself to the full field of vision with this going on. VBOX has an alternate display for night driving (black background with the outlined skript).

Definately musst change that fopr next dark event. I already put a power switch in for street night driving. Stupid me did not think of switching the display for night driving..

Just did a couple of 2:17's best lap a 2:174 but I could have easily done a 2:16. My brakes got too hot and the brake padel went way soft/low and the car did not slow down right into the right handers, especially when I needed to downshift like T7, 10, 14 and 15..
Looks pretty ugly.

The pedal was too low to heel n toe, so screwedup those downshifts and could not get the car to slow down enough.. Finally backed it up a lot and still ran a 2:177 both 17"s had some traffic.

No doubt Ishould have done a 2:16. Wish I would have bothered looking at my pads. Changing to some lefty over pads now for one more session and then I'll pack up..

Eddie just ran a 2:15 on slicks! Micheline blue would be another second, 4.0 another one, so yes 2:13 can be done.

I di not look, but I think they are OK. Not cracked that I can feel. Just one more session and I'll go home and get the car serviced and detailed.
