NJMP is a tight technical thingy, I vote Izzone, he's an experienced autocrosser.

If you run a 2:15 at Sebring, I'll go to VIR and run a 2:01, you take my 1st place DE Cup at Sebring (official with data and video), I'll take your 1st place DE Cup at VIR (unofficial with PCA traffic and iphone BS timer).

Marc, you might still be running on the clutch kit I put in that car at 32,000 miles. It was a 993 3.8 pressure plate with a clutch kit, and the car has a 996 GT3 RS LW flywheel, different parts than stock including the throw-out bearing.

What tires did you use? Fast time compared to a 3.8GT3 on slicks.

The level of cheating in the DE Cup is extremely high, and every season it gets higher.

jmacul, gt3de, jp175 have been running Michelin slicks in the DE Cup.

Every Aero Beetle have switched to a swift or full blown set of monoballs.

Trakcar 1.0 and 1.1 are packed with Aero tricks.

Even Erik had non-stock gearing, a trick suspension and some trick exhaust system.

With so much cheating in the cars, the only thing legit we can ask for is lap times.

Jenks, Red Bear, and my Fiat are the only cars close to stock running in the Gold and Platinum DE Cup.

Hate to crash your party, but I doubt monoballs make much of a difference if at all in lap times on their own. Love to see you find something quantifiable for that.

I ran 285/30R18 and 335/30R18 Hoosier on 18x10 and 18x12 wheels in that car, this is the way to go. Fenders are already rolled, rear liners removed, front strut tops (Manthey Racing units with an extra degree of built caster) rotated, front fenders pushed out.

The front wheel was a ET31.75, rear ET 63.5. Made by John Purner at CCW here in Florida.

They help tire wear....and car takes a quicker set, makes it a bit more twitchy (harder to drive)

When i rebuild the car, the clutch seems to be brand new, i would have to ask Todd

When i rebuild the car, i removed the trainy from the engine, put new engine seal etc verified everything new bering, new lever fork etc the flywheel and pressure plate looked good. i will change everything ;o), bering pressure plate and clutch.

I was told that the RS40 pressure plate would probabely fit, any tought on that???

They have to make somewhat of a difference or race cars would be all rubber underneath. Nothing drastic in times but some difference

At Pocono North, where I did most of the track testing on my 996 GT3 with support of Jon Groom Racing, around 0.3 seconds improvement.

Conversion to full monoballs, and 130 lbs weight reduction, everything else stayed as before, lap times went from low 58.2, to 56.7.

Stock engine, stock transmission except 4.0 R&P, no ECU tune, stock headers, 366whp.
