just speaking in general; hell, i'm bottom-rung.

i'm talking about guys who get into tracking because it's the fashion, and get out-there in fleet - leased 335 and 135 coupes. the one's who have never been genuine enthusiasts, and do it for a year and a half, then disappear.
Haha, no different than 75% of all Porsche owners. Our local dealership gives every new buyer a free track event, they show up in their brand new 911 or Cayman, flog it for an event or two, then we never see them again.

It's a great business plan though, because the dealership gets all kinds of "track" equipment sales like seats, harnesses, and other tidbits they can cut their owners head's off with.

The car was actually 996 C2 and the car was pretty badly damaged. In fact, worse than the black 6GT3 that spun and touched the wall!
Not a good start to the day but the rest of the day went off with no incidents.
I was watching our US friends and they look quick. I'm going to sneak out of red and into black for a run with them tomorrow. I have been busy helping out a fellow rennlister with some intsructor training. He's doing well!
Speak to you guys in the morning.

Great driving Randy - glad you to a clean lap eventually. So, what do you think of Tremblant?

This is exactly why you get a certain percentage of dipshiits in your car, who either want to play god, or just stick along for rides, and in either case, it isn't necessary. A simple lead follow, or 1 session ride along for track pointers is all that is necessary when you have instructors from another organization come to play.
Thanks!

I guess they know how they are screwing us paying customers then.
Remind me to never go to a BMW event again unless I instruct. I'll go sit and do nopthing next to you all day and then we drive free.

Sorry, we would love to but we have to get to NJMP by Thursday. Raincheck.

Drove Mt Tremblant today for the first time!

I love, love, love this place.
We had beautiful weather till 4PM when our group when out and then we were treated to a South Florida Thunderstorm/downpour, so it was just like being at home LOL.

Not only the awesome track that has TRAKCAR all over it, but also all the nice people (Some Rennlisters) I met today. Still figuring the track out in the 3rd session chasing each other around the track and the 4th got rained out, but it was so helpful that there were a few people in the same group that offered to go out first and follow me to show me their line and offer pointers later. Beautiful cars, detailed on slicks and shiney. Almost emberrasing how we rolled out 2 cars on Toyo's that looked like they came back from a battlefield.

Bob the boss gave me a pre-first session ride, so for my first session I basically knew what to do, just have to figure out execution. Because a little help were were on pace quick.

Randy and Clarke got rides too, Marc Hijacked a couple of CUP cars to strap them in for their pre-first session showing the track at pace.

And again Francois and the family and Marc cooked for us again. Good real food, Grilled to perfection in the Thunderstorm!
They are going to be disapointed when we take them for Mexican in Sebring.

The event is awesome. Free bottles of cold water, free beer. Yes, free beer! Organized, we were registered and teched in 15 minutes. Short good drivers meetings, no BS offered and no BS accepted.
Not too many cars on track at the same time, nice breaks in between so we had time for a 2 hour lunch in beautiful Mt Tremblant and work on the cars a bit. We are staying an extra night, leaving for NJMP Wednesday AM. I might go back here even without car, just fly in and hang out

Bled my brakes, changed rotors on Randy's car, fresh rear tires for me this evening.
Tomorrow we continue, if we get 4 full sessions I think we can get up to speed without emberassing ourselves too much. After that

It's on than :-) Come line up with us, lead us out please :-)
On the other hand this does not seem the ideal weekend for black 996's..

The car that touched the wall was not dameged to much I think, spoke to the owner for a bit. He was in good spirits and was driving the car home. The deer guy had more damage.

It's all good...my stickers are peeled off and the car is red now. Should be fine. They say Red is the fastest color...

No videos from yesterday?

See at least one 4.0 and one 996 Cup registered.

We did not look at our times until we merged data this morning.

We're still a bit sloppy and learning the track but me watching Randy chasing a 4.0 was fun:

Randy should have the same laps posted up soon.
