The stock 4.0RS brake pads and Michelin Cup N1 slicks are a great combo.

Let me add some perspective ... On your warmup lap in heavy traffic you run a 2:37 lap equalling my fastest lap all weekend ... You guys certainly are having some fun out there, great stuff!

Geez, the 4.0 is fast.

Michelin slicks are fast.

I'm not too sure of the claimed 500Hp in the 4.0, it wasn't pulling as hard as I would have expected. The higher exit speeds helped by the nice grip on the slicks made it run at higher speeds on the straights, I don't think it would pull that hard on RA1 given identical exit speeds as the 3.8RS.

I like it a lot, best GT3 ever made, but overpriced for the performance it gives.

Now, if Mr Cuatro Punto Cero could share his AiM Solo DL data, I could run some nice comparisons.

The few times I ran behind 4.0 in the FIAT, the FIAT would lose to it exiting T16 or T17 (grip and aero), then gain on it by the end of each straight.

For a car that is supposedly 4 secs faster at Sebring than the FIAT, and 12 secs faster at the Nurburgring, I'm not that impressed.

The GT2 RS is definitely the ultimate 911, but engine sound is boring.

The 4.0 RS is the perfect GT3, at $150k, not $200k+.

Rad: How many miles does Clarke have on the car? I'm told they make more power once the engine starts to loosen up (2k-3k+ miles).

I agree that they're overpriced. Of course I think a lot of stuff is overpriced but nobody seems to listen. Perhaps sanity will prevail once Helicopter Ben takes away the punch bowl but I'm not holding my breath.

A local guy I know supports the west coast Ferrari Challenge cars and he tells me both the 430 and 458 are pretty tough and durable to track. Another friend tracks with me at our SCCA events in his 430 and he seems to be problem free as well as fast. On cold mornings we would huddle around his engine to keep warm in the paddock...lol. No doubt they sound fantastic on track as well.

I fear for the inevitable thread I will be reading in the future NJ-GT was on his top game big time to keep awareness of the M3 on the left and avoid mating with the 4.0. Whew!
