The PCA Gold Coast region will be hosting a 2-days autocross at Sebring on Satuday and Sunday this coming weekend.

Registration fee for both days is $65 total (good deal).

Autocross is a great sport to learn car control at the limits, without fear of hitting a wall at high speeds. It is a safe place to drive at 10/10th and develop driving skills.

Registration will open again today until Thursday.

So, P. Lier, Mr. Sideways, LehmanZ06, Eddie, Mr. cuatro punto cero, Randy, Reter, Andrew, the Greek and the rest of the allegedly fast Aero Beetles are all invited to compete for bragging rights.

The weekend will consist on a series of challenges, including but not limited to:

- Best lap time around Sebring
- Best Autocross lap time on Saturday's course
- Best Autocross lap time on Sunday's course
- Most shots of Abshinte (undiluted and no sugar, like real men)
- Most beers consumed (micro breweries and artisan beer only)
- Best stand up comedy act at the Chateau's bar
- Most chimichangas and burritos rellenos eaten at Don Jose
- Most time spent wrenching on the car
- Most reliable car after Winterfest is over
- Fastest Aero Beetle beaten by a Miata at the autocross

I see a few where I am unlikely to be seriously challenged and some that just don't seem safe, like the standup comedy act.
