Do not rotate the tops, it reduces castor... it takes around 7mm to a max of 10mm of shims to get the camber your looking for.

1. Durametric supposedly can bleed the ABS unit- it is an option on the screen. I have not tried it but perhaps others can comment on that.

2. Do you have a rebuilt/nonstock LSD? That will also determine how aggressive your alignment is.

3. Without ride height specs including corner balance ratios we are all in the dark concerning your alignment. That includes not really knowing your caster. Lots of people talk about camber but without ride height that is all a moot point.

4. I have replaced almost all the suspension arms with ERP parts, so I have no problems with aligning it to whatever I want, but that may not be the direction you want to go.

Fact

Rotate top mounts front then you will get the camber you want
Rear you will get 2,5 in camber just adjusting the excenter

Down side his inner fender liners would be broken, but yes shims is the way to go, more caster is nice, same with wider track

I'm shimmed 6mm for -2.5 degrees camber with upper mounts in original position. Very minor (non-audible) rubbing only on the driver's side.

After all questions asked to vendors and your feedback I decided to go with shims for both front and rear to achieve the required settings rather than rotating the struts.

Rear GT3 control arms may be needed but will see if rear camber can be adjusted through dog bones. I will have to wait and see after installing all of the parts.

1- Yes I'm aware of that but I just wanted to be sure that they bleed it probably as last time it wasnt done right. Also to bleed if necessary in the track.

2- Yes I have installed Guards 60/40 lsd

3- Regarding ride hieght and algnment settings it will all be determined after install at the dealer

4- I have purchased most of the oarts from GMG and Fabryce was more than helpful and I hope that I wouldnt face any problems with the parts.

The eccentric provides more than enough camber adjustment in the back. With adjustable dog bones, you can achieve any camber setting you would ever want. You won't need the rear GT3 control arms.

amdevo - I wouldn't be able to come to Bahrain this weekend as a lot of the parts haven't been fitted on the car yet. I'll be there probably in January and leave my car there until april if I can find suitable storage in Bahrain.

GTSilver-

I'm sure Fabryce will steer you in the right direction. Just make sure your shop accurately aligns the car to your specs and you'll be fine. With the GT LSD you'll probably want a slightly more aggressive alignment spec than with the OEM diff.

Only problem with eccentrics is that they tend to migrate.

BBS e88 Update-

Well I have ordered bbs e88 a couple of weeks ago in 9-12x19 in stock 997 gt2 oem offset from Carnewal and confirmed from bbs that they will be able to produce the wheels and ship them before the end of the year. I received an email today stating that the front wheels have been assembled and done, but for the rear there is a problem to assemble the 12" wheels in ET48 for my car they should use 2.5" outer rim half with a 9.5" inner rim half (together 12").

However it turned out that 2.5" outer rim halves were not in stock and they cant make the wheel in the correct offset of 48. The earliest they can get them is on the 3rd week of January and I need them at that date for my time attack competition.

So im left with two options :

1- Run 2" outer rim halves with 10" inner rim halves and have an offset of 61mm which is about 10mm lower than the factory offset, but I can run a 10-15mm spacer and with the help of gmg suspension the wheel wouldn't rub. But im not liking the idea of running a spacer.

2- Run stock rims for the event and get them later.

What are your thoughts ?

Just to point out BBS had the specs a long time ago and promised to deliver but they didnt.

Gert at Carnewal was way more than helpful and offered a total refund for the advance payment and did everything he can possibly do, but I said lets wait a day for me to think about it and give him my decision.

There is nothing wrong with using spacers. In fact, I prefer spacers because if you get a wheel that is Macedonia out on offset you have no flexibility if you go to a bigger tire size or a different tire with a different profile.
