I should mention 'Ole Blue took best time today at our SCCA Time Trials and Club Trals out of twenty or so entries including a GT-R, a Can-Am Ultima, A Lola T-460, a Ferrari F430, and various race-prepped Corvettes.

The potency and value-proposition of a well prepared GT3 cannot be denied. Arrive, adjust tire pressures one time at mid-day, destroy 98% of any other cars that show up, trailer it up and have a cold beer at home. No muss, no fuss, just another day in paradise.

I was trying some new GoPros and if I didn't muck things up I might have some cool video.

Don't forget the first rule...

Good luck Pete.

Hi All,

Just chiming in after a business trip west Africa and "fresh off" the overnight flight from Ghana to Frankfurt.

If you are looking for the ultimate trackday that you can run of the street too, look no further than Pete's GT3RS. I drove it in April and I must say his mods are more than the sum of the add-ons. While the extra umpf from the engine is welcome, I can't say enough about the supension set up: brilliantly adjustable and excellent under hardcore and street driving (for tolerant enthusiasts, anyway).

Also, I will let you know inadvance that Pete is superb gent and you will have no problems working through the purchase proceess with him.

Cheer!
Doug N.

PS. Pete my GT3 is in Henderson, and still planning to visit you.
PSS. Also, I am still working on getting that article published!

Going to wait a while before I put it back to stock and sell off the tasty bits, some folks are trying to make a purchase happen as-is and that is how it should be

But if not, you know I will post up a for sale list of items

The 4.0 does not need an exhaust for sound, it is great OE. Weight savings would be the only benefit.

GLWS! Given you had both the .2RS, GT2RS and now the 4.0 RS, did you ever post a review comparing all three?

i've never done arrive and drive, but a lot of the times, i see the driver sitting in a chair talking on the mobile, while others fettle and get involved in the car.....it's like he is disconnected slightly from the experience. it's like going to a bbq and sitting indoors and watching tv while the meat is cooking outside. sure, you gonna eat that meat, but you didn't get involved in the cooking process even if just to watch and smell it happening.

glws, pete, top car!
I'd compare it to watching football in the sky box compared to on the 50 yard line. On the 50 you can "hear" them sweat, but in Chicago in November you're also freezing your butt off and that box is warm and overstocked with food. In other words - it's just a matter of what you like. Either way you see the game (or get to drive wonderful cars). It's a real blessing to have a choice!

Here is a in-car video from yesterday with a student I was coaching riding with me. This is with 265/35-19 and 345/30-19 Hoosiers mounted and you can see even on rough bumpy sections no tire/wheel well interference thanks to thoughtful set-up.

PS- I always run with SC/TC turned ON.
Pete.

Please PM me how do you manage 345/19 in the rear, where my OE 's 325/19's were rubbing on the outside.
GLWS!!

Hi Derek- careful set-up. This sizing is not a slap on and drive option. You or a shop you trust will have to spend some time to do it right. Or, you can put up with interference, some folks don't mind rubbing and/or restriction on how far you can turn the steering wheel.

Car listing price on RL and Ebay has been adjusted! Also, I just changed the oil, transmission/LSD lube and pressure purged/bled the brakes with Endless brake fluid which is Cup factory fill. If someone doesn't buy the car I am just going to take it off the market and enjoy it for another year or two.
