great buy for somebody in the market for a street able track car.
Price is super attractive.

unfortunately the market is too small for such a car and will most likely be returned to stock like the Fritz 997.1RS, but in stock trim it will still be a good car at a great price!

It appears most RS porsches with aftermarket parts end up having to remove the aftermarket parts for resale of the car...... and all the aftermarket parts get cherry picked on the used market by rennlisters

Yikes! I really thought this would have sold at $105,000 with all the goodies. Like we discussed at Fernly; it's an ugly economy out there and getting uglier. Good luck Pete!

Prospect went radio silent and no deposit placed so, amazingly, it is still available

Ads for for track spec: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...y-special.html and taken fully back to stock spec: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...-the-year.html I am totally fine with returning it to stock and selling off the goodies, because I will make a lot more profit that way.

Make a heck of a holiday present for some lucky person. In process of installing another $2500 of value in the form of a new, upgraded, 4.0 clutch pressure plate, disk, throwout bearing, fork, and slave cylinder. That is part of the car regardless of track or street spec. It is looking like the 3.8 clutches are a point of failure because the OE PP and disk part numbers have been superceded in the Porsche parts catalog to the 4.0 parts, so *the time* is coming for many of the cars on the road. Might as well drive one that has the problem already fixed? And you don't have to worry about being left stranded. Right? right? [echo] [echo] [echo]

The risk for a prospective buyer in this situation is not in what is being bought, but in not buying. Looking at the photos below, the value proposition is undeniable.

I can't hold our any longer, this is an INSANE deal. Anyone sitting on the fence on this car simply hasn't driven an RS. I thought I could sell mine and realized I can't. I love the thing too much. Each time I drive it, I realize what a magnificent machine it is. Those who think they'll find a better deal if they just wait will be KICKING themselves come the springtime when they are desperately looking for a car and the prices are 20-30k higher than this car. I would almost buy it just to hold and resell (but that's not nice). I've owned a lot of cars over the years but this thing is SPECIAL. Don't play the regret game. At least go and drive the thing. You will not walk away from the car once you do, I promise. (This is a public service message and NOT a paid announcement ).

Savvy boy if I were you I would use this car as my track toy. Drive the 4.0 on the street and keep it pristine.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement! This whole situation simply blows my mind. At the track people can't get enough of looking and listening and on RL it is all pen-pals and ten million questions and requests for character references. Fascinating dichotomy...the Spyder and 2RS sales were so quick and easy. Fear of the unknown is simply paralyzing for the average person apparently

Forward we go, there is a buyer for every car! Woo-hoo! Spring time track season dead ahead!

Peter, trust me I know. I went thru something similar when selling my gt2, and because it was a track dedicated car with everything done to it, people would just freak out. I don't believe your accident should be a problem, and honestly if you had this car at this price a couple of months ago, it would be here in Florida in my garage.
Good luck with the sale.

Randy, we already decided and is unanimous, you have the cheater now.

Ok I'll spit it out, randy got a Manthey 4.2 crate engine
He got desperate when he saw Juan on the 4.0, so now is gave over. I'm lucky I don't have the GT zwei, otherwise he would pull me on the straightway

The Manthey 4.2 should make GT2 power, possibly more if he went with the Manthey headers, cats, cutout for second air inlet etc. If that is not a cheater car, nothing is.

Let me know if you want some nice pro-like photo's done of your car after the TSB updates.

DeputyDog is harmless.

I spent today claying, polishing and waxing....got in my new rotors and some goodies for my car. Going to re-wire my Racekeeper tomorrow.
