Why Porsche wont pay to retrofit this is beyond annoying to me. I just purchased my car and I need to get the retrofit handled. Why am I paying $3k+ to ensure my 100k+ German engineered car doesn't leave me stranded, cause my engine to overheat, or put me into a wall? Ridiculous.

K- All concerned parties have proactively repaired. There will be more failures to be aware of for uninformed drivers. Porsche has Bigger problems now. Even when you get the new GT3's back there may be centerlock issues and replacement guidelines but it's still a great sports car. Owners beware- you are responsible for your car maintainance. Including your fittings. et al. I'm surprised how few. It seemed real serious to me. Go figure. I'm not up to speed I guess. Drive Safe

Yes, at TH yesterday (it was my car). Fortunately there was no one directly behind me, but they had to shut down the track for ~30 mins for clean up.

I had a friend tow it to a local dealership, but won't know what failed until early next week.

Were you the one in the black suit with that small chrome pen with the red LED at the top?

They are all going to fail. We all know that. Fix the fittings and replace the hoses etc. Remember though- Porsche says not an issue.

Correct Tim. I saw the white car in questioned, parked and the owner with the decklid open. The owner was poking around with his race helmet on which led to the water coolant hose to leak. It is obvious the owner is at fault.

He was distracted by wearing a helmet.
